"Wonderful Hotel, Family Friendly, Affordable "

First time visiting and just loved this hotel!! Very clean, affordable for families, and a wonderful continental breakfast! Staff was very helpful and friendly. There is a small restaurant open next to the lodge with arcade games and open Sunday night when most things are closed. Gas and outside stores are close in proximity. December was a awesome month to visit. On select mornings, Santa was in the lobby greeting children and adults alike. There is a walkway to the shuttle over to the Williamsburg village. Within walking distance is the Williamsburg welcome center, to get tickets, shop for souvenirs or use the bathroom before getting on the shuttle. Just loved the Woodlands lodge ❤️

We found the facility was convenient to visitors center and bus service to historic area. Though the facility is tucked in the trees, it does offer additional shading for your vehicle during the hot humid days. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast was Ok, but we preferred eating at the local restaurants. Our visit happened at a slow time for the property, so we didn’t see a lot of families on site. We will be back to enjoy more this property has to offer.

"Great place to stay!"

My husband and I had a good and memorable stay at the Woodlands. Since we were there at the beginning of the season we didn't use any of the resort facilities, but still enjoyed the hotel and the staff. The hotel and our room were perfectly clean, and smelled nice. Although the building is a bit dated and could use a little face-lift, it is a beautiful place with many spots to gather with family or sit and read by yourself. The breakfast was a disappointment with the same pre-frozen items each day, so I took a point off for that. But this could be because it just reopened for the season and things were not running regularly yet. No matter, the rest of the hotel made up for it. The location is right next to the Visitor's Center, which is such a nice convenience. You do not need a car to visit Colonial Williamsburg--just take the shuttle, or walk. We look forward to visiting again.

"Nice hotel. Horrible internet access"

Clean hotel with nice staff in close proximity (walking) to Colonial Williamsburg. The one downside is the internet access is abysmal. The WiFi signal is weak in some parts of the complex and even when connected, it’s sketchy at best. The cellular signal for Verizon also awful. "Pleasant Stay"

The Williamsburg Woodlands is a very nice resort with a convenient walk to the Welcome Center and historic village without paying for additional parking. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. A bit tricky to navigate the hallways. We missed our opportunity to dine at the King's Arms Tavern in the village but was pleasantly surprised by Huzzahs - great burgers, onion rings and service!
