Contemporary and climate-controlled guest rooms at Walt Disney World Swan feature coffee/tea makers, small refrigerators, and in-room safes. Beds come with pillowtop mattresses, signature bedding, triple sheeting, and goose-down down comforters. Bathrooms feature complimentary toiletries and hair dryers. WiFi is complimentary. In addition to desks and complimentary newspapers, guest rooms offer multi-line phones with voice mail. Rooms also include irons/ironing boards and clock radios. This Lake Buena Vista property has over 58,000 square feet of event space consisting of a conference center, banquet facilities, 12 conference/meeting rooms, and two ballrooms. I guess if you choose to stay at a Walt Disney hotel, you may not care about things like horrible odors emanating from the bathroom, but I’m forced to be here for a convention and I do care. The odor hit me as soon as I walked in to the room. Smelled like a damp rag had been left in a closet for a year. I couldn’t identify the source without gagging. Called the manager, and if you’ve been to a Marriott, you know that takes at least four transfers to get a live person. Anjali promised prompt housekeeping, and then told me there were no rooms available for me to change (isn’t check out at 11 AM and check in at 3 PM? How could they still be cleaning for check-in at 5PM? So everyone checking in after me has to wait for a room?). Plan was to have housekeeping come and detoxify the bathroom, which had to be done no matter who stayed in this room and arrange for a room change later this evening. Fast forward 90 minutes-no housekeeping, no room update. I sat in a corner chair with nothing unpacked waiting and gagging. Another call to management with no results. I finally gave up, used all my Lysol wipes and my very expensive perfume to disinfect the bathroom as best I could. I have never cleaned another tub other than my own, let alone in a hotel. Unbelievable. If I didn’t have to stay here for this conference, I wouldn’t be here. I certainly don’t recommend anyone else stay here. And now I have to find a store to restock on wipes.

What an awesome stay. We arrived very early and it was easy to store our bags. Our room was ready a little before 2. When we got back to the hotel getting our keys was painless and we had our bags and were in our room in 10 minutes. And what a room 1201 is! Many of the rooms have been completely renovated, floor to ceiling. This room was no different. Everything seemed fresh and very clean. But the kicker was the other half of the suite. The room had a full grand piano, kitchen, dining room table and additional sitting area. We couldn’t believe it. Beyond that the restaurants are amazing, especially Rosa Mexicano in the Dolphin - which is a part. If you go there ask for Karen at breakfast. 20+ years working for Marriott. She knows how to make you feel at home. I stay here 3-4 times per year and strongly recommend anyone - family or couples alike, consider these hotels. You are entitled to all the benefits of a Disney deluxe resort and are considered on property all while earning Marriott points if that’s your thing.

We recently stayed at the Swan on a family Disney vacation. Upon check in we met Jacklyn at the front desk- who was just an amazing human. After a long day of traveling, she was a funny, kind and caring encounter. She was busy but took the time to not just check us in but had a real conversation with us trying to get to know us. She had many helpful suggestions for our stay both at the hotel and Disney. We would walk by and wave and say hi whenever we saw her. The day of our departure she met the entire family and sent us off. We had to switch hotels and will be back in a few nights and are so looking forward to staying again. The bell desk and valet were also very busy and hard working but always kind and friendly. Zachary in the frozen bar area was so much fun to chat with. I hope the hotel will recognize what truly great people they have working for them, and recognize Jacklyn for the treasure she is! We can’t wait to be back!

My family had to evacuate for Milton. We chose to stay somewhere not too far away and had activities to keep us occupied while the weather was not so good. We made the best decision to stay here! They are first class in every way. They even made a lawn inside their ballroom for the dogs. This a huge resort with many activities, restaurants, etc. I came across Eric, which was most likely an executive, who stopped and took his time with me showing me where to go and suggestions of what to do. I will definitely be back very soon to take advantage of the full experience they provide!

I wish I could live at the Swan! This was our 9th Disney trip and we stay at different hotels each time, but Swan is now my favorite! We had a parlor one bedroom suite and oh my goodness... so nice! We had 3 balconies that faced Spaceship Earth. I cannot say enough good things about it! We wouldn't normally get such a big suite but we wanted to have enough room for 4 adults. I would have been completely satisfied with a standard one-bedroom. The beds were super comfortable. My only "complaint" is that I wish their little market store stayed open later. Would be nice after a long day at the parks. Can't beat the location! We could walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, but we opted for the Friendship boats. I loved this place!
