"Great pick for a business trip"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5

This Marriott was both conveniently located and well maintained with plenty of character preserved from what seems to be a pretty historic building. The room was both spacious, sleek with nice decor and had a good view of the rear facing street in Victoria. The service was friendly and the hotel has a very nice little restaurant/bar adjacent to the lobby. It’s within easy walking distance to many shops, restaurants, cafes and landmarks Victoria has to offer. Driving in here is a little tight and parking is only valet from I can recall, but once you’re on foot, it’s a wonderful place to be. I’d surely stay here again.

"good central location and overall great hotel pick"

3 of us in one room on the 14th floor with a little balcony and nice city view. Do have an issue that there's no Kleenex in the bathroom and just a small tube of hand lotion (no body lotion). I used points for us and we were going to stay 2 nights. Our flight got cancelled and thus could stay only one. Hotel will not refund me one night which is pretty disappointing because airlines give you a full refund for award miles, for instance. Location is very good and close to the harbor. The restaurant, Fire and Water, served us and excellent lunch (just too much food). Front desk lady was very nice and helpful.

"M Club is Worth it"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5
Reviewed October 20, 2024
As other reviews say the location is perfect. We loved the size and cleanliness of the rooms, the super friendly and professional staff, and the view from our room was spectacular. We aren’t Marriott members but paid for the M Club and it was worth it! Our kids loved the snacks and food and we enjoyed it as we waited for check-in, in-between our many touristy activities as some down time and one night we even just had appetizers and ordered in drinks to the M Club. The pool was always super quiet and a good size. The elevators were super fast too. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel with comfy beds and quite location. Highly recommend the club room with the extra benefits as this provides good breakfast and convenient snacks. Pool is really nice and the hot tub is lovely to relax in after a long day. Location couldn't be better, very central and easy to get to from the harbour and buses.

"Location is what you are paying for"
TripAdvisor user rating 3.0 out of 5
Reviewed September 23, 2024
Location is what you are paying for (dearly): just keep reminding yourself. Bonvoy Elites, there is a (windowless) executive lounge on the ground floor but no drinks in the evening, common bkfst and evening nibbles. Fitness center is less size and older equipped than any modern Fairfield Inn or TownePlace Suites. Rooms are just rooms, average, not commensurate with price. There is a liquor store three blocks up the hill. The chief concierge, Louis Tremblay, is a good guy: he helped us out greatly, twice, on two different matters. All the staff were very good people. I would not stay here again were I to go back, I would trade location for a better value. and just let Marriott loyalty be a casualty.
