Ian at the front desk and his maintenance person Alberto gave us ABOVE and BEYOND excellent customer service. They helped me get my disabled parent into the hotel room when her wheelchair was accidentally left behind at our previous destination. They helped me get an oversized chair into a handicap accessible room so that my mother could be more comfortable until her wheelchair could be retrieved. These two wonderful people spent time to get my mom into the room safely. They could have just handed me a chair and walked away, but they took customer service to the next level.

With Hurricane Milton approaching my family and I evacuated the Tampa area, finding a hotel was difficult but my mom called Tru by Hilton in Orlando and they were able to accommodate us. I called before my arrival for early check-in, which thankfully was available. The front desk was friendly, they smiled, and worked well as a team (since there was a long line). We checked in and went to our room, which was nice and clean. The following day before the storm hit there was a power outage in the area which not only affected this hotel but the surrounding ones as well. The staff kept us informed, they passed out flashlights and told us we were welcome to hang out in the lobby as they gathered more information. I saw the General Manager Mike on the phone trying to get things figured out. They handled the situation well since people began to panic as anxiety levels were high with the storm approaching. I think the staff, manager, and general manager deserve to be recognized for making this experience such a great one under the circumstances. My Family and I appreciate the hotel staff for keeping us safe and making us feel comfortable in what will be a second home to many of us for the next few days. Thank you Mike and the Team! Stayed for a week during Surf Expo-Beach Week. You get what you pay for as it is economical and clean. Breakfast and unlimited free coffee in lobby each morning is part of the package. I would stay again when in Orlando for business. Friendly staff and management

Pretty nice hotel. The breakfast was average but hot. Rooms were nice and clean. Only issue was regulating the temperature vs humidity, but that is more of a Florida issue than the hotels. My main issue though is that the bathrooms don't have good fans/ventilation so showers stay wet most of the day and do not dry out after using them due to the ambient humidity. Overall though, I'd likely stay here again. Public transportation though nearby is lacking. The only current transit option nearby is the IRide Green Trolley which is was very spotty and unreliable.

It started with a parking machine and hidden fee for parking, 20 bucks more than posted room rate. Sneaky. Get up to room on 3rd floor and room is hot because the AC turns off when nobody in the room and card not in slot to power room. It’s Florida summer with temps in very high 90s. 45 minutes later and room has not cooled properly. Cheap way to save a buck ! We then note this god awful sound every 10-15 minutes and thought it was neighbor. Turns out the toilet leaks and flush runs every so often. A turbo flusher indeed. Whoosh ! Call for maintenance and 30 minutes and they still have not arrived to fix flapper. Why is it clients responsibility ?? Clearly this hotel wants to offer its location near convention center which is cool. They put little cut over but the client service is slow at best. Cut rate hotel, glad it’s only one night. Hotel was much better on past stay.
