Everything was acceptable and was worth the prince. The only thing is there was no maid service. But for $71 dollars a night it was still a good stay. The hotel is centrally located to most of the St Augustine city attractions. The city trolley stops just out side the hotel.

Bathroom was dirty and the Telephone did not work. Also had sugar ants in the room. Socks became black from floor.I noticed the outside road noise came right in the room and so did the neighbors noise. Breakfast was ok. Taco place next store was very good.

"Night shift desk clerk called the cops on me, a paying guest, when I dozed off in my car. Keep reading!"

Night shift desk clerk called the cops on me, a paying customer, for dozing off in my car. Keep reading! Afternoon desk clerk admitted he purposely put me in an isolated room because he misunderstood my request for "no adjoining rooms" to mean "you don't want to be around other people." When I asked him to move me to a less isolated room, he refused even though the hotel was at least half empty (I was literally the only person on my side of the motel). I told him I didn't feel safe in my room & would end up sleeping in my car or the lobby. He just shrugged. I ended up dozing in my car next to the lobby. The night clerk came out and started yelling at me. When I told him I was a paying customer & that I had been purposely in placed in an isolated room and the afternoon clerk refused to move me, he yelled, "You can't sleep in your car or in the lobby! Move your car! JUST CHECK OUT! (At 2 AM?? I'm literally a little old lady and a solo traveler). I moved my car as he requested and a few minutes later the cops showed up. I told them what happened and the cops left. I do not recommend this hotel for solo travelers under any circumstances. I do recommend that the front desk staff have training in customer service and interpersonal communication skills. The room itself had clean sheets & towels and a dirty floor. The air conditioner is near the ceiling & the temperature cannot be adjusted. There is no interior latch on the door, so the traveler is expected to trust that nobody will breach the door while the traveler is sleeping or in the shower . We all know better than that. Rooms: 2/5 | Service: 1/5 | Location: 1/5 Rooms Clean linens, dirty floors no interior latch on the door, Air conditioner temperature cannot be adjusted. Safety The area of the hotel I was in was very dark & isolated at night.

"Very disappointing"

I've stayed here a year ago as well, but boy! What a difference. It's gotten so bad! Room not clean, sink clogged, dirty bed sheets, hair on pillows, very poor breakfast. Not to mention that the first room we were given had a very strong cigarette smell. Better spend your money somewhere else!

"Nice Place To Stay"

We had booked three nights at the Hampton Inn because I have the friends and family discount. We decided to stay an extra night and there were no rooms available at the rate we had received. I googled different places in the same area, historical district and the Flagler Inn popped up. I read reviews and it didn’t look too bad for the price . We booked for the 1 night with our dog and we were impressed. Good location, but what we really cared about was the cleanliness and it was good! The breakfast was ok, no complaints We would definitely stay there again
