"A comfortable place to stay in a convenient location"

I was here for three nights. The lobby is elegant, and the dining room is convenient. The location is great, and I could walk to so many places. The public transit system from the airport is useful. If I return to Portland, I will stay here again.

"Wonderful Stay at the Duniway"

I recently stayed at the Duniway Hotel in Portland, OR, and had a fantastic experience from check-in to check-out, thanks to the exceptional staff. One team member, Marnie, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was pleasant. She handled my check-in smoothly and efficiently, recognizing my Diamond member status and clearly explaining the benefits, which isn't always the case at other Hilton properties. She even arranged a late check-out for me. The next day, Marnie assisted with my check-out, ensuring all charges were accurate and even helped with my luggage. Thank you, Marnie! I'll be sure to stay at the Duniway the next time I’m in Portland. As a bonus, it's within walking distance of Nordstrom and other great shopping spots.

"Staff was excellent, as always"

The staff is always great here! Marni?? at the front desk checked us in. There was a line of 10ish people and she quickly and kindly checked everyone in, answering all questions. I didn’t get his name, but the guy with a beard, at the coffee bar in the morning, was excellent!! Our americanos were delicious!! I had to use the chat feature on the app and Shelia answered my questions in a prompt and kind way. We stayed in room 1834 and it was the first time we had a ton of street noise. All in all it was another great stay here.

"Visually appealing but functionally a Doubletree Hilton"

This hotel was alright. It's in a very pretty building with valet (which we never used), ample parking (which we took full advantage of), and is in a great location in the middle of downtown. Walking to things was a breeze. As for the room, it was ok. Personally did not feel like there was enough lighting throughout the room. The nested tables for our room were a little sticky. Our toilet wasn't securely attached to the floor so sitting on it was a bit of a ride. The shower temperature control knob was also broken and was about to come off of the wall. Overall our stay was OK. It was a very pretty building with a wonderful lobby and beautiful rooms but functionally it did not meet our expectations when it came to a property that looked like this. If they renamed this to a Doubletree Hilton, I think our expectations would be better suited for our experience.

"Can I give 10 stars?"

I spent the last weekend here to see some friends and relatives. From the moment I walked in to the last minute of check out, everything and everyone were just great. Check in with Kia, Ana, and friendly concierge John was quick and welcoming. My suite on 20 was beautiful, spacious with a great view. Decor was fun, furnishings were new, bathroom had a wonderful shower. Housekeeping was friendly and efficient. At the Mayrose for 1 dinner and two breakfasts. Eric and Kylee were fantastic servers -- took great care of us without being in the way every. Every bite was delicious. Who thought up artichoke paella? Fantastic. Morning coffee was tasty and "thick." I roast coffee for a hobby and wish I could get my beans to taste this good. Trimet is close by, and I was delighted to learn you can take Trimet to/from the airport (for next time). I' a fan and the Duniway is my no. 1 choice for Portland.
