First off, it’s an iconic hotel! The lobby felt warm and inviting. All the staff are accommodating with basic needs. Cozy comfortable room, beds and pillows adequate to cozy. Great location and walking around was entertaining! Great hotel for sure!

My son and I have enjoyed our stay at the Benson Hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by Clarissa, at the check in desk. She was warm, friendly and quite helpful. We changed rooms and Clarissa facilitated the change with such efficiency for us. She has greeted us each time we see her with a giant smile. Our room was spotless, beds are quite comfortable, pillows too! The hotel has lovely old sophisticated charm. Great stay!!!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at The Benson Hotel! From the check-in to the check-out, the staff was unbelievably attentive, kind and loving towards our dog, Bentley. Bentley said that he got the royal treatment with the Milk Bone treats shaped as a heart and the doggie cookies, a water bowl and doggie bed and even a lovely note from the property team. I've never seen him so comfortable at a hotel. We loved how historic and beautiful the hotel is and the penthouse was spacious and comfortable with great views of the city. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling to Portland, or lives here and wants a fun and enjoyable staycation and especially if you have a dog - wow talk about a dog friendly hotel!!

As first time Portland visitors, we are happy that we stayed at this historic hotel. It's a beautiful hotel, service was fast, beds were comfortable and location is great. Shot out to 2 staff - Clarissa at the front desk and Bobby in the Palm restaurant! They were very helpful, informative and genuine. We took a couple of day tours (Infinite Oregon Tours) to the coast, gorge, waterfalls and Mt, Hood and we were picked up and dropped off at the hotel. Other than that, the location is convenient - easy and short walks to restaurants and public transportation. Overall, excellent value. We enjoyed our stay.

This was our first time staying at the Benson in Portland. We had breakfast at the Palm court and Bobby was such a pleasure to meet. He took great care of us and even gave us some much needed suggestions of places to see and places to eat, which we appreciated so much. As first timers in Portland we needed those ideas. We are looking forward to coming back and choosing the Benson as our First Choice stay. We had a wonderful experience!
