Star Island Resort and Club is located approximately 4 miles from the Walt Disney World Resort and is close to all popular central Florida theme parks, shopping malls and a variety of dining and entertainment options. This Mediterranean styled resort and spa features mini suites to three bedroom deluxe villas that are designed for your ultimate comfort. The unique suites and villas can accommodate from 4 to 8 people and include a full kitchen or kitchenette.

Star Island Resort and Club provides a wide range of recreational activities including nine tennis courts, golf driving range, putting green, sandy beach on Lake Cecile, water sports, volleyball and basketball courts, picnic area, and swimming in our 2 zero-entry outdoor pools. Guests can workout in our extensive fitness center with cardiovascular equipment, free weights, steam rooms, saunas and spa tubs. Organized children’s activities include arts and crafts, hula-hoop contests and ice cream socials, (fees may apply).

Take time to relax in the full-service Celebrity Spa (surcharge) providing manicures, pedicures, massage therapy, body treatments and full salon services. For your enjoyment, cocktails and light fare are served at a poolside bar. Complimentary wireless internet access is available in all suites/villas. On-site complimentary parking available as well.

Check-in requirements:
Guests must provide a $200 security/incidental credit card hold deposit. This is a credit card hold. This deposit is for charging incidental items to your room account. (If you choose to use a bank debit/credit card that is attached to a checking account, please be aware that a hold will be placed on the account for the anticipated dollar amount of the stay including incidentals through your date of departure. Said funds will not be released for 72 business hours from the date of departure or longer at the discretion of your bank.). This deposit may be applied towards your final payment.

I have stayed here multiple times over the past 30 years. I always have a great relaxing time. Very clean... quick response from staff and always enjoy the live music entertainment by the pool. Condos are clean, beds are comfortable, kitchen is first class. Love it!

The unit out dated felt I was in the 1970’s you have a certain day to request towels base on your check date.i was refused towels unless I paid . But I paid for a 7nt stay but because of a flight delay I came a day later the lady I only staying 6 days so I told her that’s the case refund me for day if you going to charge for towel because paid seven days. Instead she hung up on me, I went to the lobby only said he would talk to her, never gave towels so I had to go buy some towels from Walmart.never again!!!!

We booked 9 weeks here, January 4th-March 9th. When checking in, we were told we would be in the same room until February 1st, then would have to move every week thereafter. We were told to talk to Shanaela (very rude person) to see if she could find us a room for the last 5 weeks where we did not have to move every week. She didn't say "Let me work on this and see what I can do". She just flatly said there was no way, and we would have to move every week. Now....we have been renting Wyndham (as well as other resorts) since 2007 week by week and have NEVER had to change rooms. Why rent a 2 bedroom unit when you have to clean out the refrigerator every 7 days, pack up your clothes (or live out of a suitcase) so we canceled the last 5 weeks and Star Island is out over $4,000 in revenue. I see on Facebook you are offering 10% off now so obviously you have rooms available. Maybe Shanaela could be schooled in Customer Service. As an aside, the Maintenance Staff here were super nice. We're not upset about anything else, just the rudeness we were greeted with. Cleaning staff did a good job as well..

Checked in using a paid for Interval certificate that showed a 2 bedroom, full kitchen. Certificate showed unit A&C. We got a partial kitchen, 2 bedroom with no balcony. Very dark and claustrophobic. They would not let us change to a one bedroom with balcony because they said that was an upgrade from a 2 bedroom. What! Resort looks empty and the B unit next to us was never used. On the positive side, the grounds, outdoor staff and activities were great. Front staff was terrible and because of how we were treated, we will never come back.

My wife and I went to the resort to visit with our son and daughter-in-law. When we checked in, we were "greeted" by Donna, who definitely appeared to not want to be there. She spoke so softly and fast that I could not understand a word she said. She told me to put my credit card in the reader. I asked her what this was for. Again, she mumbled, and I couldn't understand what she was saying. Thankfully, another guest was standing next to me and explained what the charge was for. She was rude and not friendly in any way. During the night we stayed there, I got up around 3am to use the restroom. Upon turning on the bathroom light, I was greeted by three cockroaches: one on the wall, and two on the floor. I killed them and threw them into the wastebasket in the bathroom. Needless to say, I didn't get any sleep after that. When I checked out the next morning, I was again greeted by Donna. She was even more rude than the day before. I told her about the cockroaches, and she asked me if I called housekeeping about it. I told her it was three in the morning! I'm telling you now! She said she would make a note of it. Unacceptable! I would never come back to this place.

There is not a full-fledged restaurant on-site. However, there is a snack shack located on-site, where guests can purchase you can purchase hamburgers, sandwiches, subs, chicken wings, chicken tenders, egg rolls, fries, salads, bagels with cream cheese, muffins, Danish, fresh fruit, ice cream, coffee, tea, etc. The snack shack hours are 8:00 am – 11:00 pm daily. There are 2 pool bars - one downstairs open from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm and one upstairs that is open at 4:00 pm. TGI Fridays is within walking distance and sits in front of the resort.

What is the minimum age required for check-in?

The reservation holder must be at least 21 years of age to check-in at this property. A valid, matching, government-issued ID and a credit card are required at check in.

Does Star Island Resort & Club charge a resort fee?

There is a daily resort fee of $15 per unit per day plus tax ($17.02). The suite or villa is cleaned before the guest arrives and then after the guest's departure. The unit is equipped with a starter kit, which consists of toiletries, toilet paper, and dishwashing liquid for the first day. After the starter kit runs out, each guest is responsible for purchasing all other supplies they will use during their stay. Yes, packages for guests can be sent to the resort. There is a handling fee of $3.00 for each package received by the resort.
