If you're visiting Universal Studios, the Sheraton Universal is easily one of the best places to stay. It’s just a few minutes away from the park and offers everything you need to make the experience smooth—shuttle service every 15 minutes, ticket sales, and helpful staff to assist with any park-related questions. That said, if you’re not going to Universal, this hotel might not be your best bet. The surrounding area doesn’t offer much beyond the park, and for general Hollywood tourism, there are more conveniently located options. The hotel is very family-friendly and, naturally, quite busy and bustling. Despite the constant activity, everything feels well-organized and the atmosphere remains welcoming. What I personally appreciated most was the comfort of the room. After a long day walking through the park, it was a relief to step into a quiet, cozy space with perfect lighting, blackout curtains, just-right temperature, and a beautiful view over Burbank and Hollywood. It made me feel instantly ready to relax, watching the city from a peaceful distance. There are several food options on-site, including a Starbucks, a small grab-and-go market, and a sit-down restaurant, California Kitchen, where I had a very good and relaxing dinner—though a bit pricey, especially considering the hotel’s family-oriented guest base. One thing to note: the elevators can feel a bit overwhelmed during peak hours (early morning and late afternoon). You might have to wait a little longer than expected, especially with big crowds coming or going to the park. There's also a large pool area which looked great for kids, though we didn’t use it. Keep in mind the hotel is in a hillier, breezy area—so warm days might still feel a bit cool. In short, this is a great hotel if you’re doing the Universal Studios experience: cozy rooms, helpful service, and the kind of cheerful chaos that comes with theme park vacations. Just come prepared for the crowds—and embrace them.

I spent 1 night at this Sheraton hotel with a family member. We were looking for a hotel walking distancd from Universal Studios were we planned on spending an entire day. The hotel is conveniently located to Universal Studios within a 5-10 minutes walk but also runs shuttles every 15 minutes. The parking structure adjacent to the hotel offers convenient and safe parking. Check-in was super smooth. The staff throughout the hotel was extremely polite, friendly and courteous. We loved our room which was super clean, had a great view of the hills and pool. The beds were also very comfortable. The pool and gym were also great which made the experience very enjoyable. The cocktail drinks at the bar were perfectly made and we enjoyed the restaurants as well. Overall, our stay was perfect at this hotel which exceeded my expectations. I definitely will come back.

We had a blast. When visiting Universal Studios there is no were else to stay. A short 15 minute uber ride from Burbank airport. Make sure you visit "In the Mix" in the hotel lobby. Quentin and Frances were game changers. Make sure you stop by for a Espresso Martini or a Special Spicy Concoction. Can't wait to return. The location to Universal is Perfect. The pool and breakfast buffet were great as well. IT'S AMAZING, CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES STILL EXIST!!!!!.

Absolutely incredible service. Michael Garcia helped us at the front desk and was so kind and helpful. Would recommend this hotel 100%. So happy about our stay here. Excellent views and very nice lobby. The club lounge is extremely nice. I can’t recommend Universal Sheraton enough!

Negatives: rooms not ready at 4pm as promised, was told I would receive a text when the rooms were ready. At 6pm I asked the front desk and was told one of the rooms is ready. What happened to that text? 6:30pm and 2nd room still not ready. Asked about it and was told it was not released by housekeeping yet. They had to call housekeeping and then it was magically ready. I was not offered any compensation. Was told via chat prior to check-in that the rooms are connecting. Turns out there are no connecting rooms in the hotel, so I was lied to. Used app to request extra blankets, the request was never honored. Had to call hours later to request blankets again. My 9 year old slipped and fell in the lobby restroom, which was disgusting. He came about 2 inches from hitting his head on the urinal divider, and Sheraton/Marriott would have had a major problem. Turns out the restroom had just been mopped (the mop was just outside the restroom door). No employees around and no sign indicating wet floor. Small rooms. One of the three elevators was not working, which caused major lines. Positives: friendly staff, location to Universal Studios, I feel like the price is reasonable. Comfortable bed. Shuttle to the park, even though you can walk in about 10 minutes. We are going back to Universal, but I will try Hilton next time.
