"Good but not impressive"

There were a lot of noise even at night: dripping leaking faucets, beeping from the hallway and outside, and conversations from the other rooms can be heard. This made sleeping a little difficult. There was a weird smell in the elevators and hallways. There was also no available outlet near the table. Nice pillows and clean rooms.

The employees were kind enough, but the rules they were expected to enforce were unreasonable. An overwhelmed security guard on night one was patrolling the lobby with an iron fist, and then it looked like Vin Diesel's cousin was brought in for the remainder of the weekend so they must always have to keep a secure presence in the lobby and what not. Pool is great, there are good food options within the hotel but hours are pretty limited and the prices aren't the most reasonable considering what is offered. We stayed in a tremendously underwhelming suite. The pillows and mattresses might have had something in them 20 years ago when they got them, but now they're just empty shells inside of a sheet. The TV mounted in the suite would have made Michael Scott proud, and it was essentially placed in the room's version of a hallway just outside of the door separating the bed from the "living area". Not only did the TV not face the couch, it was completely on the other side of a dividing wall. Luckily by the time we stopped laughing at the setup we did not have time to kick back and watch any TV anyhow. Plus, even if we did only about 2 of the channels came in. The carpet was crunchy, but it was so suspiciously crunchy that after being upset about it for a whole day I actually came around and wondered if it was a trendy design I was unaware of. My son almost had to be put into concussion protocol when he was blasted by the ice cold laser beam of a jet stream they called a shower. Luckily once we discovered how to get the warm water to work it dribbled out so softly that we almost felt the need to apologize to the shower head for working so hard. Lastly, my wife and I were the only ones capable of flushing the toilet, which I'm assuming the engineer borrowed the blueprint of a medieval catapult to aid in their design of the flushing mechanism. If you are looking for a room in the area and do not care what you pay and at the bare minimum need a secure room that you can technically sleep in, this is for you. For what its worth, there were signs everywhere of a renovation coming in 2024! Unfortunately, our stay was in November of 2024 and there were no signs of a renovation anytime soon. Although there were 700 other actual signs of what you could and could not do.

Casino right across the street with a connected tunnel. What more can is say except book your stay!!! No complaints at all.

Great hotel stay! Honestly can’t think of a better place for a family. Pool was fantastic with two hot tubs with in viewing distance of the pool to watch children. Starbucks in lobby for early mornings along with rainforest cafe attached for lunch and dinner. The falls within walking distance from the hotel.

"Nice hotel but avoid the Torrent!"
TripAdvisor user rating 4.0 out of 5
Reviewed November 02, 2024 NEW
Very big, very busy hotel but we were checked on very efficiently by a friendly staff member. Room was spacious, with a lovely bathroom. Room had a safe, ironing board and iron, and a hairdrier. Comfortable bed and good nights sleeps while there. We ate in the Rain Forest Restaurant which was quite good. The staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel was clean and quiet. On our first morning there, we went to the Torrent Restaurant for breakfast. It was $20 per head and the food was awful. The place was almost empty and I can understand why with the price and quality of the food. The 'hot' food was tepid, scrambled eggs were so heavily salted as to be inedible. The bacon was dried out and I left most of it. Avoid this place like the plaque. The following morning, we had breakfast in Starbucks and, whilst I am not a big fan of Starbucks, the hot food was hot and the tea was boiling hot - just like it should be! Seating was at a premium but overall it wasn't a bad breakfast.
