This is the worst you can get for the money. Cleaning the room and making up the bed is not part of their "service". Only on request if you manage to read in small print somewhere in the room. Not worthy of the name hotel. I world not recommend this to anyone.

I had an incredible stay at River Hotel! The location is unbeatable—right by the river and in the heart of Chicago. If you’ve never been, this is easily the best spot to be. Everything is walkable, and you're central to all the major attractions. The staff here is exceptional, especially Pedro, Ronnie, Rayana, and Leo. Pedro was so friendly and welcoming, Ronnie had the most contagious and positive attitude, Rayana was incredibly hospitable and accommodating, and Leo was so helpful throughout my stay. I can’t say enough good things about this staff and location.

The hotel is in a fantastic location right in the centre on the river road and across from the Chicago tribune, Trump tower etc. The river walkway is across the road. The room was clean, comfortable and a good temperature. Staff were helpful and allowed us to leave luggage until the afternoon on the day of checkout. There was no restaurant but there are plenty of places to eat close by including for breakfast.

0-Star Review: The Worst Hotel in Chicago I wish I could give this hotel zero stars. It was, without a doubt, the worst experience I’ve ever had. When I first walked into my room, it was clear it had never been cleaned. There was dust everywhere—on the furniture, the floors, even the bed. The smell was unbearable, like a mix of mildew and something rotting. The bathroom was filthy too. The shower had grime all over the tiles, and the towels were already dirty when I got there—stained and still damp. Disgusting. I asked the front desk for fresh blankets because the ones in my room were covered in stains. They brought me more, but every single one was also stained. When I asked for an explanation, they simply said, “We can move you to another room, but they all look the same.” That’s when I realized there was no hope for this place. It’s mind-blowing that a hotel in Chicago could be this terrible. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. You will regret it.
