A seasonal outdoor pool is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. River Place Inn offers a complimentary "Grab & Go" breakfast including all prepackaged items such as muffins, cereals, yogurt, granola bars, juices, milk, coffee, and tea.

This Smoky Mountains area hotel is located on River Road, less than half a mile to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Cade's Cove is approximately two miles away and Ober Gatlinburg is within walking distance (0.1 mile). With a convenient location, the hotel is within easy walking distance to Gatlinburg Convention Center, Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway, fabulous restaurants, Sky Lift Park and Ripley's Aquarium.

Parking: River Edge Inn offers free self-parking, one complimentary space per room. Additional vehicles will need to find alternative parking.

Pet Policy: Up to two small dogs, under 50lbs each, are accepted and allowed in each room. A $40 nightly fee per dog is applied at the hotel upon arrival. A $250 fully refundable damage deposit will also be taken upon arrival. Emotional support dogs are allowed and fees do apply. ADA-defined service animals are welcome without fees.

"Great place to stay in Gatlinburg"

Great hotel in Gatlinburg. It is one block off the strip. Close to the action but quiet at night. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. The outside of the building is basic, but the rooms inside are excellent. Clean, mattresses are new and very comfortable, bedding is very nice. Lots of pillows, with different choices of firmness. Fire place is easy to use. Easy online check in. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

"Not pet friendly"

Caution: Although advertised as pet friendly they are anything but friendly. There is very little grassy areas to walk your dog . The only decent area had a very large curb that a small dog cannot possibly jump. Despite taking every precaution with “policy” we were not refunded the dog deposit. We have not received any proof of any violation of policy. If you are not bringing an animal then the room was adequate but far from deluxe as advertised. Bed was elevated so high I could not get in it unless climbing up on a chair first. If you are 6 foot tall then not a problem. The balcony/patio overlooks the parking lot so if you are looking for any ambiance do not stay here, very misleading advertising. I will never stay there again even without a dog and would do not recommend.

"AVOID!"

Avoid this place at all costs! The pictures online look great and some mention the rooms are "updated" but do not let that fool you. My room was we disgustingly dirty; there was hair and debris on the floor as if the floor hadn't been cleaned, him on the ceiling, more hair on the bed sheets AND black mold with standing water next to the bed! I spoke to Rebecca, the manager and she denied a refund for the room, stating that I could've just switched rooms..why would I want to stay in a place whose standards are so low in the first place? Needless to say I was put off by the cleanliness standard of the hotel. On the phone I was spoken to very rudely by Rebecca, gaslighted, called a liar (even with pictures and videos proving the condition of the room) and was hung up on several times.

We just visited for our anniversary and this hotel is our new favorite place. It’s a great location and walking distance to everything. Carolyn and the staff were all so nice and we are looking forward to our next stay already!

"Very good Hotel in Gatlinburg"

We stayed at the River Edge Gatlinburg during labor day weekend. Rooms were very spacious, clean and had comfy beds. the hotel sits back a couple of roads of the main street and was easy walking distance to everything Gatlinburg offers, but a the same time it was not noisy and had great mountain views. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. Carolyn, in particular, was amazing. She made sure every aspect of our stay was flawless, and her friendly, professional demeanor made a significant difference. we will definitely choose this hotel for our future stays. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a great experience.
