"Needs a lot of work"

Poor, tired, Residence Inn. Wanted to be comfortable, but too many negatives. Functionality of kitchen was adequate. Furnace worked. Outside of property is in severe disrepair. With broken wooden access platforms to upper rooms. Missing window latches in units. Staff less than welcoming. Definitely not up to a Marriott standard. Limited housekeeping (stayed 8 days, only had one trash/towel service. Had to pick up towels and trash bags at front office myself. Sheets never changed. No gym on location. Landscaping was professional but buildings are in ruins.

I would like to thank very much the staff Mr.Patrick/ Pat who kindly signed me in. Pat is very welcoming, professional, kindhearted, helpful, sociable, respectful, understandable, efficient & hard worker. Thank you also to Noel, Sam, & David that I met, for their kind services as well. I greatly appreciate all their help! It had been such a great experience that I would go back again if assigned to Louisville being an American Red Cross disaster volunteer. I strongly recommend this wonderful place which is beautiful, clean, including a cooking stove, a big fridge making ice, with a delicious complete breakfast included everyday! I felt like home!

The place is in REALLY serious need of maintenance Black mold Broken drywall Ice maker didn’t work Chipped and flaking paint No pots and pans. Asked for some, what they brought was so dented/scratched the were unusable The AC unit was so loud it kept us awake Sliding closet door was off the track Bent towel rod Bathroom was very dimly lit

My husband and I stayed here with 2 small children 2 years and 7 months. We were really impressed how the staff looked out for our kids. They always made sure we had enough food and drinks at breakfast and gave us snacks and water for the day when we go out. Excellent service and great location. Room was clean and perfect size for us to have enough space to put up 2 pack and plays for the kids.

The Marriott is such a nice chain of hotels that being said this place needs some TLC. I don’t know if maybe the room we got hasn’t been used for a while but it needed some cleaning. Not me being picky cleaning but we had to wipe out the drawers, pull hair out of the tub drain because the water wouldn’t drain properly, wash the coffee pot, lots of things that aren’t just little things. I do love the size of the room as someone that has stayed in a hotel room 1/3 of the size for a month with a 9 month old the size of the studio suite is nice for me, my husband and our now 14 month old. Staff was really nice and offered us a playpen for our baby. They had some dishes, pots and pans, cups, mugs, and utensils in our room as stated on the website which was great. Overall, I’m satisfied with our stay and will update as we have a very long stay ahead.
