"Above and Beyond!3"

Just wanted to say how happy I am with the staff at this hotel. My wife was staying for business and her flight was delayed so she was arriving very late. It was her birthday. Staff member Rhiannon helped to make my wife's day special by making sure a birthday treat and note (from me) was deliverd. Sounds trivial, but it made a huge impact after a very long day of travel. Thank you!

"Impeccable Service Among Other Great Things"

The service here was tremendous. I had 2 small issues during my stay that could've been easily dismissed by the staff (one was a bathroom plumbing issue and one was TV-satellite related) but they responded wayyyy above my expectations to handle both. Beyond impressed, especially since I had just come back from Gainesville after a UF game (Go Gators !!) and I looked the part. This is a reallly nice hotel, next to a Nieman-Marcus but they treated me like I was the only one staying there and a rock star at that (sorry Billy Idol). To Victor and team - thanks, you really made an impact on my stay and I'll definitely be back. Things I liked: free parking, a huuuuge TV (w/bluetooth) and a location close to TPA and all the food / ameneties that Westshore offers. Can't beat it. Things I would fix: the location is kind of confusing. Cant describe it but if you don't know where you are going you will drive right past the turn-in about 4x before you realize it. Better signage and coordination with GPS mappers like Garmin would be very helpful. Second - I don't know if I just couldnt find one but there were no outlets near the bed/nightstand. Maybe it was just the room I had but it was something I noticed.

"Nice, Good Location"

Second time staying at this hotel. We liked it enough previously to return and will be back. Very nice staff - valet, front desk, housekeeping. Location is good. A quick drive to just about anything of interest. It is attached to an upscale mall with plenty of dining options. Beyond that, walking to anywhere else isn’t to realistic except for Raymond James. Overall, this hotel has an upscale feel. Rooms are tastefully decorated. Huge TV. Comfortable bed and pillows. Aveda and Kevin Murphy bath amenities. Full length mirrors in the bedroom and bathroom. A nice dresser with plenty of drawers. A desk and a side chair. A lot without feeling crowded. However, the design is starting to show its age, nothing worn out or broken just a dated style. I’ve stayed in newer mid level hotels with more modern styled bathrooms, more USB/C charging ports (nothing on the night stand…update: found outlets and USB cleverly installed on the side of the nightstand), linked lighting (foyer light does little to illuminate the main space)

"Nice hotel, fantastic location"

This stay was almost perfect, except for one issue. I’ll start with the good. When I walked in, I was greeted very kindly and the check-in process was seamless. The hotel property is very well maintained and clean and looks beautiful. When I got to my room it was well appointed and clean and the bed was very comfortable. They have convention space here and catering services. They also have a mini Mart for food and any toiletries or supplies that you may need. They also have bars and restaurants on site. I also enjoyed the free complementary lemoncello that they gave out during happy hour. That was a nice surprise. What I didn’t like was my shower did not get hot and it was miserable taking a cold shower which I immediately let the front desk manager know about it. What wasn’t co was that she didn’t offer any Marriott points or anything that she could have done to have appease me. Overall, this is a very nice location and a clean and well-maintained hotel. It is also attached to the international mall, so it’s awesome that you can walk over and go shopping and have tons of restaurants and stores within steps. I would definitely return.

"Nice hotel but bad bar / restaurant design"

Nice hotel and very convenient to dining options in the adjacent shopping area. A renovation has apparently just been completed in the restaurant / bar area. The work is nice but the bar is small, doesn’t have bar stools and the area is extremely depressing. There aren’t pictures on the wall. The feeling is too “boxy”. I can tell that thought went into the planning but the bar area is just blah! Perhaps most people go to nearby dining options. If they were to create a bar in the lobby area, I suspect it would be filled with patrons. This is the one thing that may keep me from staying here in the future.
