This building is tired. The rooms while updated somewhat they are small and dark. The bathrooms are old. The hallways narrow. Sound easily carries in the hall from the next room. Sound carries up from the street even on the higher floors. Not a great Marriott. Better to stay at the Bidwell or the Vance

"What a view!"

The hotel was lovely. Two options for meals, one with a great bar; the other with coffee options. There was also a self service area to buy munchies and assorted drinks in lobby. Helpful staff everywhere. My only concern as a 78 yr old woman, was no grab bars in tub, making showers VERY dangerous.

"It's time to get back to Portland."

I was in Portland June 3 and 4 for a quick business trip. I wanted to share my experience because it was fantastic! The hotel is terrific. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The biggest surprise was how terrific the city looked. I went out in the evening for a walk to find very clean streets, no issues with homeless or even visible tents. It was a great evening with a lot of people walking around and enjoying the area. I would recommend the hotel to everyone. I felt safe as a single lady walking the area.

"Too Much Loud Music!"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed May 25, 2024
The Marriott Portland Waterfront has been our favorite place to stay when visiting Portland. This time, things were not so great. We reserved a room with a river view and although the view was great the room was not. Mostly it was the small bathroom. So small that the toilet was almost touching the tiny shower. Our main gripe was the loud annoying music loudly played throughout the hotel. Music is personal and even if the younger patrons may like it, it’s abhorrent to some of us older people. You’ve literally chased us away Marriott Waterfront.

Frees very where, $35 destination charge per night. $54 parking per night, $14 for good internet. Air conditioner is very noisy! Will wake you up very time it comes on. Not good for the price! Even writing this review was hard to do. Not what I was hoping for for my 33 year anniversary.
