What time do the gates open?

Gate openings are subject to change during inclement weather, special events, doubleheaders, opening day, the Old-Timers' Day game, and postseason play or at stadium management's discretion. There may be a point during a game when guests may only enter through the Yankee Stadium Lobby adjacent to Gate 2.

Yankee Stadium is accessible from the Major Deegan Expressway (I-87) at the following exits: Northbound I-87: Exit 4 (East 149th Street/145th Street Bridge) & Exit 5 (East 161st Street/Macombs Dam Bridge) Southbound I-87: Exit 5 (East 161st Street/Macombs Dam Bridge)

How to get to the stadium via public transportation?

By Subway: The No. 4 train (East Side) & the D train (6th Ave.) make stops at the 161st St./Yankee Stadium subway station, located on East 161st St. & River Ave. B train (6th Ave.) is also available but only on weekdays. By Bus: The Bx6 & Bx13 buses stop at East 161st St. & River Ave.; the Bx1 & Bx2 buses stop at East 161st St. & the Grand Concourse—a short walk from the Stadium; and the BxM4 stops at the Grand Concourse & East 161st St. (northbound) and East 158th St. (southbound). By Train: Metro-North offers train service to the Stadium.

Is there a dress code?

Yes, clothing deemed to be obscene, indecent and/or inappropriate is not allowed inside the stadium. The management strives for a family-friendly atmosphere at Yankee Stadium and reserves the right to ask anyone with such clothing items or expose him/herself to cover up. Clothing, face paint, or masks that conceal or hide faces are also prohibited. Failing to comply will be denied entry or removed from the Stadium without a refund.

What can I bring?

Guest can only bring soft-sided bag or container with 16in x 16in x 8 in or smaller, camera, cellphone, tablet, strollers, ADA-required devices and prescription, clear factory-sealed plastic bottles of water, 1 liter in size or smaller and outside food for individual consumption—apples and oranges must be sliced or sectioned.

What can’t I bring?

Guests are not permitted to bring hard-sided bag/container, glass bottle, can, laser pen, video camera, audio recorder, drone, selfie stick, tripod/pro camera equipment, laptop, firearms, weapons, alcohol, illegal substances, broom, pole, staff/stick, baseball bat, skateboard, hoverboard, TV set, air horn/distracting noisemaker, helmet, projectiles, aerosol can, confetti or glitter and fireworks.

What kind of payments are accepted in the stadium?

All yankee stadium retail food and beverage locations are cashless and accept credit/debit cards and other touchless payments. There are cash-to-card conversion stations available for no added fee in the Great Hall at Sections 110, 128, 223, and 320C, if you can only pay with cash.

Can I exit and re-enter the stadium?

Unfortunately, guests are not permitted to leave the stadium and return on the same ticket. Re-entry will be permitted only in the case of an emergency. For such cases, please see security personnel before exiting the stadium.

Is the stadium stroller or wheelchair-accessible?

Yes, there are 2 ramps located inside the stadium: adjacent to Gate 2 on the left-field side & adjacent to Gate 6 on the right-field side of the stadium—both accessible for guests with strollers, wheelchairs and ADA-required scooters. There are also 16 public elevators throughout the stadium: Gate 2 has 2, Suite Entrance adjacent to Gate 4 has 2, Great Hall has 8, Gate 6 has 2 and Gate 8 has 2 elevators.
