We overall really enjoyed our stay at The Moxy South Beach. Having stayed at the Moxy in NYC we knew not to expect a hugely spacious room, but found it well appointed with enough room for two friends traveling on the lighter side (carry on suitcases and backpacks). Jeanne and Laveana (spelling?) were very helpful in graciously accommodating early and late checkin/out which was so helpful because we got off our cruise in the AM and had a late flight home. Our room (523) didn't experience any street noise so we got excellent nights sleep. Definitely don't miss out on the free beach chairs (the lay down kind) by going up to the beach shack rental and letting them know you're with the Moxy. Those would normally rent for $22 per chair. The pool was also nice with plenty of chair availability at least on Thur and Friday when we were there. Some food options in the area we thought were good value in otherwise pricey south beach were Moshi Moshi and Plenty Poke, and the cookie place right next door. Only thing to be aware of is the tiendita downstairs charges a non-optional 20% gratuity, even if you're just getting coffee to go.

I’d like to start by saying Gustav and Nathan were phenomenal! I reserved 4 rooms, November 1st - November 4th and each room was perfect! Not only were the rooms perfect, but the staff was GREAT!!! This Hotel has amazing service and makes you feel welcomed. The ambiance, the areas, the energy is pure magic! I will definitely not only recommend The Moxy South Beach, but will also be staying again. Thank you again Gustav and Nathan for adding to the amazing weekend for me and my guests!

Great location but a few things were incredibly frustrating: there's no place to put clothes or anything else, so you have to put everything on the floor or on beds. There is no table, desk or shelf other than the kitchen sink and a nightstand by the bed, so there's no place to put things and you end up leaving things in your luggage or on the floor. And there's no good place to charge your phone. There's no outlet or USB charger by the bed so you just have to leave your phone on the floor by the bathroom while it charges from the only outlet in the room. We were constantly struggling with our electronics going out of battery because we couldn't charge them easily in the room. There were other issues but I don't want to be too harsh, the room was a good price and in a good location. However I would think twice before staying here again.
