    I stayed in a Downtown view room. I can confirm the view is unobstructed and spectacular. The hotel location is close to all the action on Sunset Blvd. And the hotel seems to host parties every night. So if you want a private and less busy stay, this may not be your choice. The front entrance is not easy to locate and it is very narrow. If the car in front of you is unloading their luggage, it blocks everyone behind it. Also the building is showing it's age, the wall corners, wash basin, counter tops and even the bath tub are showing cracks and looks worn. The interior room decor is tuned towards the 60's hip style. Nothing wrong with that except I bump my head on the huge lamp cover on top of the work table a hundred times. These issues aside, I would return again in the near future.

    I don’t know where to begin…I literally love this hotel and the Sky Bar! From check in to check out, I was treated like a queen! Ky at the front desk is by far the very best at guest service and will go above and beyond to ensure your stay is amazing! Ben, the Conciere is the same! If you have any issue, he will handle it immediately upon request! Nick who works the door at the restaurant is so kind and helpful. His smile is contagious! The Sky Bar is always a huge highlight when I stay there! Jules is so amazing! She will make sure you have the time of your life! She’s so bubbly and sweet and a lot of fun! She always goes out of her way to make me feel special…the rest of the staff there are no different! When you go be sure to meet Vinnie, Frankie, Johnny, Emile, Kelly, Christian, Alex, Scott, Ron and Kevin! They will make sure you are taken care of and are enjoying yourself! Each time I go, they all remember me….my name, where I’m from, etc! Be sure to stop in the gift shop as well! The owner is a peach and so sweet! The location is perfect as well! It’s super clean, comfy, spacious and worth the money!

    This is email , that I wrote to the GM on November 5th and I am attaching the generic and poor answer from the "over night manager" Dear Carl I want to share the poor experience that I had at your hotel recently and I want it to do it first with you directly before posting my comments on the usual sites I decided to spend the last weekend at the Mondrian LA due to its location, great F&B outlets, and beautiful views. My short stay went smoothly apart from the long wait times whenever I requested something to be sent to the room (e.g., coffee capsules, ice cubes), but overall it was manageable and somehow expected However, on Sunday, November 3rd, while packing at 1 pm, I received a phone call from the front desk asking when I would be leaving, in a rather straightforward manner. When I mentioned I was in the process of packing and about to leave, the staff member on the phone informed me that I would still be charged for an extra hour’s stay. Initially, I thought it was a joke…. When I went down to check out at around 1:05 pm, I had to wait an additional 8 to 10 minutes as there was only one person at the front desk (check CCTV). I expressed my strong disappointment to Zen (the staff member’s name who called me ) about being charged $100 for an extra hour especially that when your total bill for a night stay is around 1,100 USD. He didn’t take any action and simply told me that he was following the rules. To add to my frustration, I checked the hotel’s website and found that the hotel was not fully booked that day. This is the first time in 30 years of travelling globally in high end hotels that such situation happens As an Accor Platinum member I am entitled to late check out so I inquired whether Mondrian was part of the Accor group, to which his vague response was, “kind of.” Lastly, when I came to collect my luggage at around 7:30 pm that evening, a lady brought the luggage to the lobby, but no one was around to assist us in loading them into the car or to even say “Have a nice trip” or offer a simple “thank you.” Conclusion: The staff seems poorly trained and lacks the empowerment to satisfy customers. I will be staying at the Andaz next door in the future, where, thanks to their loyalty program, I enjoy a complimentary 4 pm checkout and probably a better service Best Regards

    Loud music at night, and all kinds of extra charges after booking fees. Good services, staff was excellent. Bathroom was very small and cramped, beds were nice, view was very nice, random 35$ charges for every night of staying with no explanation as to why.

    The location was walking distance to everything we wanted to go to. Pool parties were really cool and nice vibe. Beautiful room and property but water pressure/temperature in my room were cold. The staff were nice and removed the resort fee for this.
