Margaritaville Resort Orlando

Our stay was so much fun! We enjoyed all our poolside time thoroughly! Our server Kat was 10/10! She was so friendly and helpful and just so much fun! We will look for her next trip!! They had lovely plantings and fabulous live music everyday. Get the souvenir cup to save on the drink orders!!

Stayed here in April 2025 for 3 nights to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We’re both Jimmy Buffett fans and wanted a quick 3 night trip to celebrate our anniversary. The decor of the lobby and throughout the hotel is very nice, it makes you feel like you’re in Margaritaville. Check in took longer than we had hoped, waited in line for about 45 minutes. I had contacted the hotel weeks prior to arrival to let them know we’d be celebrating our anniversary and they responded that it would be noted on our reservation. There was ZERO acknowledgment at any point during our stay. The room was comfortable, a/c worked very well, decor was nice, our balcony only had 1 chair but we made do. There are limited dining options for a ‘resort’, only 1 restaurant and a pool bar and grill. The pool area is nice and the beach sand was a nice touch.

Julian at Euphoria Restaurant was amazing! Ask for him!! Also the food was exceptional. We dined at breakfast and will be returning for dinner. This restaurant offers live music, which we have enjoyed on past visits. Kudos to Julian and Euphoria restaurant.

The resort is in an excellent location and the grounds and pool were mostly very nice, my issue is the constant fee's that you all tack onto bills, We sat by the pool and had 4 drinks and were charged a 20.00 service fee and 20.00 gratitude, we went to Europhia to listen to live music, sat at a table and had a drink and bam, charged, we paid a decent resort fee and the constant "add on" fee's are unacceptable, we did not know these fee's were being added so we also tipped per drink, our waitress got over 100 from us that day for 4 drinks. I heard many people complaining about the "extra" add on's. Also, all the kids activities we heard over the intercom by the pool, the kids had to pay for. That just sets badly with me. Your resort is not cheap and you need to remember that.

Just returned home from a weeklong trip. I was a little apprehensive about booking after reading the reviews. Most of the review on this place when it comes to check in and service were spot on. Luckily we had no issues with our cottage, but I could see if you did and needed service why it would be a pain in the rear to deal with. 1. Check in is atrocious , we got there at 5 and had at least a 30 min wait or longer to check in. Long line, no mobile option or kiosk. only 3 people working. They were doing their best to move the line, but guess what....The front desk didn't even get to explain the resort , check in , check out guest responsibilities , Wi fi passwords, etc. Just the basics. It was like name, give me your credit card, here is a room key next. They have also double booked my CC card for the say, hopefully that drops off soon and I don't have to call. 2. Service at pool - did seem a bit understaffed. The people we had were nice, but 1 day she took our order and food arrived and was 1/2 gone before she came back with drinks. Then my $17 drink wasn't even frozen anymore 3. Cottage - Was as advertised , Clean , beds, pillows, etc all good. We stay at these type of units all the time so we know we are responsible for additional toilet paper, paper towel ets. They could give us more towels to start. I think each bath had 3. (6 total) so had to do laundry every other day, which was fine, we were prepared for it. We had a unit on Dreamsicle Drive which was about a 8-10 min walk to pool. Was fine for us, never used the shuttles. Would of like to be able to pick our unit at booking, but its assigned when you arrive. The reason why I say that is their 2 Bedroom units have many styles and i don't feel like all the styles should be equal in price. Or locations. A 2 bedroom unit back on Knee deep should be less expensive then 1 on flip flop or sand bar drive. 4. Pool is great, not sure if both fins left and right are heated or 1 is heated more than the other, but they were different temps, but both great. Love the beach style pool entrance and the Beach seating. Nailed it. 5. Pool Food/Bar - Chicken strips and nachos were good and on bar with restaurant quality for the price. But I'm not at a restaurant!! I'm at the pool with plastic silverware, sitting on a beach chair. Also Drink prices way too high. We only bought 4 I think during our week stay since they were so much, lower the price and maybe you will increase the volume and make just as much. Where the resort really missed... "cooler policy" I get it you want to sell your overpriced bar drinks and food. However, they do randomly check bags. One day they did find my "small" 6x6x10 cooler in our beach back that only hold 4 bottle waters and made me take it back. For REAL? its 80+ degrees we are not entitled to drink some fresh cold bottled water??? I knew the policy , so I wasn't going to argue with the teenager at the gate. But Margaritaville use some common sense . I wasn't strolling in with a huge cooler full of beer over my shoulder. Its was a small unit concealed in a beach bag. I mean we are hard working middle class family's trying to save enough $$ thru the year to enjoy a well needed vacation. The multi-billion dollar Jimmy Buffet Estate isn't going to go broke by family's bringing in a smaller cooler with some water or sodas. Management - Read the reviews that are from "REAL" working class family's. Take action, the answers on how to improve are right in front of you.
