"They'd charge you to use the shower if they could!"

Let's start with the good (this will be short) -Comfortable bed -Spotless clean room/bathroom/shower area -Large flatscreen TV with abundance of channels Now what you really need to know: -Do not touch, move, or breath on anything in/around the refrigerator or bar. Or you will be charged. And charged a lot. -I'm no stranger to hotels, but Mandalay wants: -$12 soda, $14 small water, $25 for large water, $16 for coffee. Don't even ask me about liquor. OK, since you asked, those baby 50ml bottles will set you back $19-$25 a piece. -Think you can outsmart the hotel, go shopping and store your own stuff in the refrig? That will incur a "personal item storage fee" of $65. -Resort fee $50 PLUS tax. Rolls eyes on that one. The gym (actually has a wide range of modern cardio machines), was PACKED in the morning. I counted no less than 20 people in a pretty small space. It was almost a safety concern in the weightlifting/stretch/yoga area, as people were stepping on/around each other in the tight space. Resort fee also pays for printing boarding pass (do people do that at a hotel?), free local calls (again, don't we all have our own phones?). All this to say, $50 resort fee - like elsewhere in Vegas, has little actual value for things people living in 2025 need. -But there's more! Had a $50/daily resort comp credit. Think you can use it for resort fee? NOPE. Must use it to pay for their overpriced restaurants. And the buffet was closed on the day I was there. -As others have said, oddly - walls are thin and you can hear lots of noise in the hallways. Was rather surprised by this as I thought this was a relatively upscale hotel. In conclusion: I am no stranger to hotels and staying in Vegas. I had a good time, but Mandalay Bay really tried to rain on my parade. What I learned in all this is - get out of the strip. Go! Check out Fremont Street and the Downtown area. Stay there even. It can be a little dodgy around the edges late at night, but the vibe is so much more relaxed and fun. And your dollars will take you further.

"If greed had a name its initials would be MGM"

Overpriced, outdated, badly maintained. Don’t eat the food that comes from the general MGM kitchens - any fast food restaurant will have better tasting items on the menu. Stay here to sleep but leave as soon as you wake up. Did I mention overpriced? A paper cup of coffe that other hotels give to you free of charge is $16 here. Want to borrow a bottle opener? $25, please! You want to play table games for $10/$15; Sorry, our games start at $25,$50, and $100. What happened to Vegas. MGM’s monopoly is clearly ruining it for everyone.

"Not Worth it"

Entire place (even the 10th floor) reeks of smoke. No fridge in the room (other than the minibar. Resort fee for what?!? $8 to make a cup of coffee in the room... $25 for a bottle of water from the "minibar" left on the dresser. Not worth the price, next trip for business will stay somewhere else likely.

No coffee mugs. No ice. Machine is broken. Key didn't allow access to other floors to get ice. Took exactly 1 hour and 37 minutes to get ice delivered. When they first came they delivered a bucket with no ice then told me that I had to get ice ---from the broken ice machine? Was on hold for 10 minutes to even ask for ice. Closet lights didn't go off. Don't touch anything in the pic or you will get charged and charged $50 if you use the fridge. Never again.
