Duval Street is a 5-minute walk from the hotel, and the Southernmost Point is 7 minutes walk away. Guests will also be 8 minutes walk from Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory.

A solid 4 out of 5 and I would return. King Patio Rooms 45 and 46 were a tad small really for the price point (over $669 with tax and fees) in February in my opinion (roughly 12x12 square room with a small bathroom and shower stall connected and old style pretty noisy a/c unit on the floor (I had to turn it off to sleep - thankfully it was not blistering hot that day). However, the property is well situated, clean, and the front desk people are great and very helpful. We arrived on the Key West Express at 11:30am and the front desk held our bags for us until our rooms were ready. They texted us as soon as the rooms were available and they were ready for us before the 4pm check in. Other than the room size I can't fault anything else as the beds were comfortable and none of us needed for anything. We were given two complimentary drinks per couple as well as a decent breakfast with hot and cold items - all of very good quality. Good Keurig coffee and tea was provided all day (not in the room - but a very quick trip to their bar/breakfast area). The Lighthouse even sent me an email survey after my visit to ask about my stay. They even followed up as I mentioned room size for price point to them also - they did say that they wished I had contacted them first as there were some other rooms that might have suited us better. So perhaps if you have any hesitation, just call them as they are very helpful and I believe truly want you to be happy. The locations is excellent - about 100 feet from the Hemingway House entrance. A fabulous restaurant Moondog Cafe (amazing food) is within a stones throw. You can take a quick 1/2 mile walk to the Southernmost Point Buoy, as well as a nice walk up either Whitehead or Duval to shop and arrive at Mallory Square. Absolutely no car or golf cart required if you can walk without aid. We did Uber to and from the Key West Shuttle Dock ($9 each way). If I returned to Key West, I would stay here again, but I would ask for a larger room. The front desk even held our bags after check out at 11am for us until 3pm when we returned to head back to the dock.

Quiet and cozy but still super convenient to everything. The staff are all friendly and helpful and professional. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Lovely little bar for a poolside drink and a lovely continental breakfast. Be sure to book directly - we kept hearing folks who had used service like Expedia with inaccurate bookings. Even though it was not their fault, the hotel worked so hard to try to accommodate them with the room type they wanted. I was really impressed.

If you want a place walking distance to the beach this is it. If you need a large room this is it. Be advised this place is in the middle of a construction zone, both with in the complex and the surrounding areas. Jack hammering and construction vehicle back up alarms starting at 7am and continue throughout the day. All traffic off the island has been detoured on the road outside your bedroom window. There are cars, motorcycles, trucks, emergency vehicles going past your window all day and night. If you want a place to drink and party, the tiki bar is in the center of the complex. You don't need to go down there however to enjoy the music because it is loud enough to be heard in your room until 10:30pm. Downside is there is a lot of karaoke, so it is a lot of bad music. Smoking also a plus if you are a smoker. Smoking seems to be allowed at the tiki bar, pool, and the open balconies and open hallways outside your room. Navigating from your car to your room can get tricky at times because there is no clear path from the parking area to your room, you have to navigate through the crowded tiki bar that has chairs and tables and people blocking the walkways to rooms.

This is truly a special place. Your own little oasis! We loved the beautiful rooms with the mile high ceilings, the lush grounds, the sumptuous breakfast, and all the intimate little sitting areas. You really feel like you are being pampered! We will definitely be back.
