"Dated rooms and poor service"

This the worst Marriott I have ever stayed at! We were here for a nephews wedding and we got in late on Thursday night after a delayed flight. As a gold member I was told there were no upgrades available and I was ok with that but the room we were given in the Palm Towers was pretty shabby and dated. My husband went into the bathroom and found a used q tip on the floor and hair! Gross! It was after midnight and we were too tired to deal with it until morning. We talked to the woman at the Palm desk first thing in the morning and also told her we had only 1 bathrobe and 1 coffee. She was very matter of fact and asked if we wanted our room cleaned again. Again? It wasn’t clean when we checked in! They did clean the room while we were out and left a bag with some coffee pods and a few waters but after paying 2 grand for 3 nights I really expected a better room and experience. The final straw was asking for a late 2 pm check out, which is pretty standard as a gold member and being told 1 pm was the absolute latest by the guy at the spa tower desk. We had to walk all the way from our room in the palm towers, which is quite a distance because there was a note at the desk saying it was closed with no explanation, only to be rudely told it was the “best he could do”! Seriously do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else! Certainly not up to JW Marriott standards and definitely not worth $2000 for 3 nights in a standard king room!!!!

"Worst hotel ever in terms of both service and quality of product."

As an executive in the hotel industry for over 50 years as well as the owner of a hotel, this hotel is one of the worst I've ever had the dissatisfaction of staying in. In terms of both service and quality of product it rates a -1. From the beginning it took two days and three Engineers to fix the safe. The drains in the sink in the bathroom did not work and had to be fixed. After staying here from Thursday to Sunday the telephone still does not work. Today we left the hotel at 11:30 did not return until 3:00 and then again left the hotel at 4:45 not returning until 9:45. During that time I spoke to the front desk to advise them that the housekeeper on the floor told me she's not in charge of our room which had never been refreshed no fresh towels no beds made all of the garbage still in here. When I returned I went to again the same person at the front desk a woman named Trace t r a c e and said to her that I still did not have a clean room. So not only did she never relay the message to housekeeping in the first place but I was met with the hostility of having the nerve to ask her again for the common normal service afforded one in a hotel. As of this writing I am now waiting over 20 minutes for housekeeping to show up with a clean towel and also provide me the name of the manager of this hotel. Let me be perfectly clear do not stay in this hotel their attitude and their service are below par.

"A nice escape place, not a great work/business place"

Certainly Fancy. My room was HUGE, with a big jacuzzi tub and walk in shower. Bed was nice. Grounds are pretty, and fun to walk around. I think the pool looked fun for kids, (no kids with me on this trip). The casino in the middle is kind of ... weird. Smoky in some areas, and makes it hard to get from one part of the hotel to the other. (as expected, no straight paths through the casino by design...) I had a free gift certificate to the spa. It was OK. HUGELY expensive if you wanted anything other than the basics, but it fine. The people were nice. The Property is HUGE, which I guess can be nice, but the walk from one tower to another through the casino can be a trek. I had early work meetings (by the way, this is probably NOT a place to stay for WORK in Las Vegas...) and the lady checking me in said that Earl Grey didn't open until 7:00, which was far to late for breakfast. BUT it turns out they do open earlier. As I said, not a "business" or "work" place ... not really set up for business amenities. BUT for a staycation or an escape to a resort, it's probably pretty nice.

"Beautiful property. Lovely waterfalls, immaculate landscaping. need to do a better job with cleaning outside patios."

I highly recommend if you don’t like the hub bun of the strip. This is your place. You can go in for shows to the strip and food but their restaurants are quite good. Small casino in the back of the property. I’d definitely would go back and stay again.

"Beautiful property but in need of maintenance"

This is a nice enough off strip property but in need of maintenance. Pros: the Spa Tower where we stayed was quiet and if you are not a gambler, no need to walk through the casino to get to your room. Platinum status gets you $20 per person breakfast credit that can be used in the Earl Grey cafe (decent breakfast) or credited towards the Brunch Buffet on weekends (with a $13.99 upgrade charge - the buffet I would say is quantity over quality) Service from the front desk was pleasant and efficient - we had a maintenance issue in our room and it was taken care of very quickly. Location is nice - in the Summerlin area - if you are looking for a nice off strip location - it's beautiful and much less noisy in that area with lots of decent restaurants and shopping nearby. The downsides: We requested our Suite Night award upgrades, confirmed and after arriving on a late evening flight - they could not honor our guaranteed room. I had to request a refund of my SNA award. Part of the issue was that many rooms were out for maintenance. The hotel is starting to show its wear and tear - for example, my bathroom sink was backed up and spewing black stuff into my sink (rapidly repaired, but still...kinda gross). The woman next to me at the front desk noted her air conditioning could not get the room down past 72 degrees despite running all night. The restaurants / entertainment at the hotel are "okay." I was visiting with my teenage son and we chose the hotel for its proximity to the Darling Tennis Center. However - we ended up twice at the nearby Red Rock Resort and Casino - which has the more typical assortment of great LV restaurants and lots of entertainment (cinema, bowling alley and arcade) - we will likely stay there next time if we are in the area.
