I stayed at the InterContinental Toronto Centre in downtown Toronto for 2 nights in late December 2024 with my young family. We took the train and the walk from Union station is short. The hotel was decorated nicely as it was just after the holidays. Check-in was fine. The hotel is very well located for sporting events (walked/went to a Raptors game at Scotiabank Arena), restaurants (all around), and theatres (walked to Meridian Hall for a show). The CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium and Rogers Centre are also walking distance. We ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant; the buffet was good. We had a King Suite with a sofa bed; we also requested a rollaway bed (which was delivered). We used the pool once. Overall, we had a great time. Nice hotel to stay at with family.

"March Break 2025"

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre. The room was spacious enough for all of us, which made it very comfortable. The kids especially enjoyed using the family-friendly gym and pool, which were both well-maintained. Although the room was well-equipped with extra blankets, pillows, slippers, and bathrobes we noticed that the coffee machine was missing basic items like sugar packets, stir sticks, and milk or creamer. It would have been nice to have those available. That being said, our housekeeper Victoria was fantastic! She was incredibly attentive and made sure our room was spotless throughout our stay. Her friendly attitude really stood out and added to our overall positive experience. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for families visiting Toronto.

Excellent, convenient location, clean, quiet, nice amenities. I enjoyed unwinding in the pool/hot tub/steam room each night. Very comfortable beds, and shower was really nice. I was very impressed and will make this my go-to hotel for business travel in the city.

Jan 11-12, 2025 booked overnight for the hockey game – Room 1627 We decided to treat ourselves to this hotel as hubby’s birthday treat of the game, dinner and overnight. The hotel is very central and close by the train station (5 min walk) as we travelled in on the GoTrain parking for free at a Go Station rather than driving in and paying for parking at the hotel. The hotel lobby still had some of their Christmas décor up and looked quite pretty. It is a large lobby and where check in was located was not too obvious we had to ask for assistance to find it. Off to the far right as you enter the hotel. There was a restaurant/bar in the lobby and a little coffee shop – cabin set up. Check in was easy and they upgraded us to a higher floor with a view of Billy Bishop Airport. They do charge an amenities fee even if you are not planning to use them. I don’t know why hotels just don’t include the charge in the regular and tell everyone the stuff is included – the separate charge seems to imply you can opt out of it but you can’t. At check in they did offer a deal on the buffet breakfast for Sunday which was quite enjoyable and cheap compared to other Toronto venues for a buffet. At this hotel you need to use your room key in the elevator or it won’t take you to your floor – a little added security. Our room was a good size, nice view, quiet and the bed was so comfortable. They have a mini bar which is quite expensive but no more so than other hotels. The only complaint we had was that as we were heading out of room to meet friends for dinner, we opened the door to find not one but two carts (the ones the cleaning staff use) directly in front of our door (we had to move them a bit to get out) . There were no cleaners to be seen in the hallway and no open rooms nearby. It was like the two carts had just been left there. When we went down stairs, we advised the front desk of the situation which the male apologized and said they were likely cleaning a room nearby and he would tell them to ensure they are not left in front of guest rooms that are not being cleaned. As we walked away, I realized he had not even bothered to ask what floor or our room number. I remembered that they sign you up for their app when you arrive and they had sent me a text welcoming us to the hotel so I responded to that with the details of the incident, our room number and a picture. I got a similar response but at least I felt that they now knew where it happened but it did seem to be a little dismissive…. We did have a drink in the lobby after the game we found the pricing a bit on the expensive side given we had been at a restaurant just before the game a block away and the drinks were on average $5-10 less especially for any specialty drinks. However the atmosphere was comfortable, no ambient noise you often find in places today which can make hearing difficult. The buffet was in the same place in the morning – it is smallish but packed a lot of nice selection of items into it and had a grill to make things whatever way you like. Coffee, tea, juice was all included. Check out was easy and then a short walk back to the train station.

Very good customer service everywhere including the reception and spa team. I met a very welcoming and helpful lady from housekeeping called Victoria - she gave me great advice about Toronto and areas to visit. This was exceptionally helpful as it was my first time in Canada. Thanks Victoria and the rest of the team. The rooms were good, comfortable bed but some decor/finishing looked dated - needing a little refresh.
