This will be my second review, having stayed here two years ago. I want to update two matters: 1. The gym now has a Peleton. I logged in with my phone and took off. 2. The free breakfast is perfectly adequate, I settled for a good bagel, but bacon, potatoes, and eggs are also available. I want to mention, however, the unpleasant gentleman overseeing the breakfast. He was unfriendly and very unhelpful. He is a poor representative of a nice hotel.

Excellent location! $20 parking is not too bad. Very tight parking space, so be careful if you have a big car. Cooktop in room was great, especially since breakfast was awful! Very limited selection. I had continental breakfast that was much better this "hot" breakfast.

"Amazing location, but be aware of caveats."

This is a very common wedding venue and if you stay on a weekend during the summer months you're likely to deal with a party going on in the pavilion area until 1030/11pm and then drunk people in the hallways making noise afterwards. This location is amazing. You're walkable or a very short uber from downtown and museums, and there are a dozen restaurants and food trucks within a block of the hotel itself. There is a dog park with ramps and toys just outside the hotel to the front. There is a running/walking trail immediately behind the hotel that follows the river for several miles towards downtown. The rooms are standard Hyatt House floorplans, which give you a good amount of space if you're going to be staying long-term. You have a stovetop, oven, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. The pots/pans/dishes are about what you'd expect from an efficiency or airbnb. There's nothing to measure with, so bring your own measuring cups/scale if you want to get fancy with your cooking. There's an Aldi within 2 blocks of the hotel, so you can buy whatever you need if you're cooking yourself. The mattress and pillows are the firmest I've ever had in a hotel, and I like a firm mattress. This was too firm. I stayed here 2 nights and it was fine, but if I was here for a few weeks I definitely would have tried to get a different mattress or stayed somewhere else. One of the pillows was a little more worn out so I used that one. Breakfast is nothing special, the same rehydrated scrambled eggs, steamed sausages, bad coffee and marginal fruit you get basically everywhere. Anecdotally the best "free" hotel breakfasts I've ever had have been in random small-market hyatt place airport hotels. For some reason they seem to be able to put out some eggs that have actually seen a pan and butter, fresh fruit, and occasional extras like greek yoghurt. There is a great breakfast/brunch and coffee shop within a block, though, so feel free to skip the hotel lounge unless you're with your family and need to get full value. The bathroom is excellent. The showerhead has lots of options from simple cleansing to massaging waters, the water pressure and heat are great, and everything in my room was very clean. The bathroom flooring in particular is a very nice and practical synthetic tile that is non-slip and warm-feeling. Cleaning service is every 3d, first service will be after your 2nd night. I like this, it feels practical, but this isn't disclosed before you book so just be aware. Parking is pretty standard for being in the city. You're going to pay $20 a day to park your car. This could be fine or hell depending on how full the hotel is. There are a limited number of single-park slots. If the hotel is near full, you'll be parking in a yellow zone where others will likely box you in and you'll have to surrender your keys to the front desk so that cars can be shuffled around as needed. If you have a nice car, or a manual transmission, you probably won't want to do this. There is an off-site parking garage within a block you can park at. I think the daily rate is similar. This is pretty standard when staying at a hotel in any major city, though. If you choose a hotel out of town you won't have to pay for parking, but you will have to pay for parking when you drive into town to see whatever it is you came here to see anyway, though. Overall I would definitely stay here again for 1-4d. I don't think I could abide the mattress longer than that, though, which is unfortunate. This is a really great location and basically everything else was good to great.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and seemed well-maintained. While the parking situation was odd, it really wasn't an issue. There were wedding parties both nights we stayed, and while we could hear the music, it wasn't loud enough to be disruptive. The area is quite nice and there are many options within walking distance for food and entertainment.

A nice enough hotel that more than met my expectations. Not "Luxe" but a good facility for weddings given their riverside plaza. Great upscale district with good dining options, you must drive 5min across river via "Hot Metal Bridge" and then a brief tunnel to access downtown. A spacious suite type room arrangement that provided both living room area and kitchenette. We did not try the complimentary breakfast or use the pool. Could have used a nightlight in the bathroom so as not to disturb sleeping area; silly smallish pillows would support BYOP if particular. Self-parking beneath hotel available for a reasonable fee, but squeamishly tight, especially if you're dancing in an SUV. Nice staff, secure environs, walkable area, hope to return sometime.
