"They're working on it.."

The pros: comfortable bed, hot water, good water pressure, accommodating staff. Very doable for the price! Unless you are high maintenance when it comes to hotel stays. They are working on upgrades. Should get better with time. The cons: carpet stains, TV volume wouldn't stay consistent, check sheets when you first arrive. We went to the front desk to get a cleaner sheet set but the desk was closed for the night already. They had a number to call but it was livable until the next day.

"Not a good Howard Johnson"

This hotel is under construction. It’s crazy everything‘s nasty. We stayed six nights and found five roaches in our room. We was never given the opportunity to move to another room. The walls had holes. The beds were comfortable pillows were comfortable housekeeping didn’t dust at all. The fridge had 3 inches of dust on top of it and the carpet had rolls plus people were working in the middle of the night above us. You couldn’t sleep for all the noise , I don’t usually do reviews, but for now this one is not a good place to stay hopefully Howard Johnson’s will get it fixed in the future. The breakfast was ok, biscuits were hard sometimes, food was cold and it was the same everyday, we will be staying somewhere else next time.

"Pure garbage!"

Pure out awful.. We walked in and we walked out... moldy door frames. Paint chipping, holes all over the place, food all over the floor, yellow stains in the bathtub, sink, down the shower wall. There is 2 floor things on the wall, which is werid, does one not work or something. Dirty halls and huge black mold outside our door. Just disgusting!

"Don't go here no matter the cost!!"

This was one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. It was dirty and smelled. The hallways were nasty on walls and the floor. The AC unit did not work, and it was an absolutely long night. I think it must of been one of the places low-income people in Branson live. The whole experience of staying here was awful and not to mention the very strong weed smell that was seeping under the 2-inch gap under our door from the hallway about 1:30 AM.

"There’s good and bad. Please read the pros and cons here before booking!"
TripAdvisor user rating 3.0 out of 5

Pros: The beds were soft & the room was very big. The room was quiet and peaceful. It did not smell bad, it smelled old but not bad, although I always bring my own room air freshener. The food was hot and fresh on some days. I liked the biscuits and gravy on the one morning out of the week the gravy wasn’t gone. I believe this is under new ownership, and it is in the middle of an upgrade. I could see the new owners actively working hard to do upgrades and replace mattresses. I saw the maintenance guy working hard with the drill. We need to give them maybe 6 mos to finish fixing things. I saw the workers trying to fix the place up. The hall floors that were carpet are now hard wood laminate. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful IF you are willing to make the trek to the desk to talk to them. I checked for bugs during day and middle of the night, and I did not see any at all although my husband woke up with two red bites in his chest, and it’s unexplainable. They were 100% not on his chest when we went to bed. I even looked with a flashlight under the mattress and saw no bugs. So maybe it was a spider? The laundry room was an added bonus and also the waffle maker! The price of the room was very affordable on Priceline. Now I’m going to explain why it was so affordable: Cons...No elevator. I'm a 90% disabled veteran and got here and there’s no elevator. At least not that I ever found. It’s seemingly not too ADA compliant. Maybe there is one but I never saw it. They really need to get a pool service specialist out to look at the indoor pool. It is cloudy/murky and questionable, and I was scared to get in it. The photo of the pool online doesn’t match the pool I saw. The pool was not clean had a lot of hair chunks, bugs, and debris in it. I own a pool, so I feel like I know what I'm talking about when it comes to the fact that this pool needs way more chlorine in it and new filters. Please add more chlorine and use a test trip! I almost went to go get a test strip at the drug store to see what's up. I saw online when booking that there was a second outdoor pool, but there was no water in that pool! So kinda false advertising & photos by Priceline. We were unable to get pool towels at the time we went to the pool which was 6:30 pm. Everyone had used up the towels. So we used our shower towels and got new towels at the desk in the morning. This was because when we called and called for towels, housekeeping had gone home and there was nobody to deliver them although we were finally told after calling many times to no avail that if we come over to the desk, we could get some. We couldn't reach anyone by dialing zero on the room phone. We had to go on Yelp and call the reservation line. The desk is so far from our room though that we have to drive. I feel like the breakfast should go until 10 and not 9:30. We are still on Pacific time from our travels, and it was hard to get up early to eat. Priceline charged me an extra $10 per day for the "paid" breakfast even though it's free for everyone! The hotel manager or owner might want to notify Priceline that they shouldn't be doing this. It says no pets, but I saw 3 different non-service dogs while I was there. One morning I was awoken from my slumber to the sound of a barking dog (not outside but from a few rooms down). The door outside bldg D is broken and anyone can get in without a key card. You could come in and swim even if you aren’t staying here. There’s food that got dropped on the floor in the hall in D Bldg, and it’s been there for 3 days so far. Nobody has cleaned it up! I wonder how many non-guests are using the pool and eating the food because they sure aren’t checking anyone’s keys. The door to exit the pool got stuck and we all got locked inside the pool. It was about 4 min of a dude yelling for help and then the door finally unlocked or came unstuck. People were panicked and a little girl was scared when we got locked in the pool. We tried to call on my phone for help, so we wouldn't miss our show but nobody answered the phone when we called. It went to VM. The front desk said they can see the pool on camera, but maybe didn't realize what was happening and didn't send anyone down to check the door. Then again if the phone kept ringing, then who was at the desk? Regarding the toilets: You have to hold down the handle if flushing #2 poop. It won't flush down unless you do that. At least on the 2nd floor. Side note: When we went to breakfast, the sheriff was there I think taking a police report from the staff. We didn't know why the sheriff was there at our breakfast time or what incident if any occurred. I took off a star for being locked in the pool and also for the dirty pool water, lack of towels when asked for some, and the broken outside access door which made us feel less secure. Also because we were constantly reminded online and in person "no pets"and we saw & heard pets all over. There’s actually a dog barking loudly as I am posting this. When we went down to breakfast at 9:15 the eggs were gone and the gravy was all gone but the bfast doesn’t end until 9:30. We had no working WiFi the entire stay. Don’t expect decent or consistent WiFi. Manager, Please get some WiFi extenders for the other buildings. These are easy fixes, and I'm sure the new owners are working on these tweaks. If they tweak these few things, they will be well on their way. I want to be clear we didn’t hate our stay. We would stay again if they fixed a few things. I’d be willing to give the new owner a chance to make some things right. The money we saved by staying here made it possible to do more cool excursions and see more shows. Thank you.
