"Very accommodating service"

The room was very clean. The bed & pillows were absolutely the most comfortable, best rest you can expect. Music does travel from the nearby nightlife but that’s to be expected in this part of town. My five star rating though is mostly due to the front desk clerk, Imani for accommodating us with early check in and late check out. She was very helpful in restaurants recommendations, explaining the amenities and she even wished us luck on our race, the reason we were there for the Hot Chocolate Run. Would love to stay there again and recommend. I can’t speak about the valet or parking since I didn’t travel with a vehicle.

Harmony at the front desk was so helpful! I was not traveling under the best circumstances and they found me a quiet room where I could rest. Very nice rooms, as well, and I know the hotel is very friendly to people’s pets because I see some happy doggies around.

"Your mileage certainly may vary"
TripAdvisor user rating 2.0 out of 5

A lot of things went wrong for us. Your mileage certainly may vary, but here are a few factors: - Noise: We were on the 3rd floor. Through the night at intervals there was street noise and noise from other rooms. We were mostly able to sleep though it, but lighter sleepers may have trouble. The thermostat is very active in activating and when it does it clicks loudly twice - this woke me up once. - Amenity Fee: There's a mandatory daily food charge with a lot of fine print regarding how to use it or (mostly) lose it. - Housekeeping: Housekeeping skipped 2 out of 3 days even though we left before 11am. - Checkout: In the hour before checkout we received a random hangup call to our room (no one on the other line), and then despite us not yet being checked out and shouting that we were inside someone from staff tried to enter our room looking for hangers (?!). If the total price compares favorably to other hotels and you factor in the food charge, you don't use housekeeping, and you sleep well through street noise (at least if you're on a lower floor Fri/Sat) then it's probably still a good deal. In pluses, you get a nice size refrigerator with a freezer which is a very nice change from typical hotels.

"Gaslamp stay at the Hotel Indigo."

Great service, centrally located in the Gas Lamp District. Our room was very clean and staff was very attentive. Enjoyed the room decor especially with vintage Fridge. Nice size rooms with plenty of space. Enjoyed the roof top very much. Don't get the Ceviche it's a little dry. Also, overnight valet is $65 dollars we used street parking when available and Laz Parking Lot a block away on Island and Eighth. We didn't leave any valuables in car to be safe. We really enjoyed our stay.

"Inviting Hotel in the Heart of San Diego"

This is an excellent hotel to choose if you’re coming to San Diego. It’s close to everything you’d want to do downtown. We stayed 5 nights. The rooms are large and comfortable, with nice walk-in showers (with excellent water pressure). The staff are extremely friendly and helpful (shout out to Harmony and Michael at the front desk). Even if you don’t stay at the hotel, you should try the rooftop restaurant and bar Borrego. They have a nice menu and great drinks. Hopefully you’ll visit Borrego when Mia and/or Trevor are working. They made us feel like old friends every night we visited. Highly recommended!
