"Short trip to Tampa"

It’s a very nice hotel. Just about done with a remodel. Some work on the outside wasn’t finished. Pretty good restaurants and bar area. A great and friendly staff! I would stay there again. There is also a free shuttle for a three mile radius. We used it to and from Amalie Arena.

"Pleasant surprise and location"

Great location! We were able to walk at night and felt very safe even tho one side of the street is closed for renovations. The sidewalks were very clean and well kept. Our hotel was located in the perfect place for us to walk and meet friends at Gen-X. Nick at the front desk was very kind, welcoming, and gave extra details (water, cookies, and shuttle). After our evening with friends, Ryan was waiting for us right outside the doors of the bar. The drive back was very short. Ryan was able to drop us off AT the front doors even tho there is construction going on. GREAT beginning to our 90s cruise 1/30-2/5!

"Great downtown hotel"

Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable and the food was good. Old hotel but had a pretty neat history and right in the heart of downtown Tampa. They are undergoing renovations but from what I have seen they are first class and should Be neat to see when finished.

"Great location, but the hotel needs some work"

On the positive side, the hotel is in a great location and is in the process of what looks like a great renovation. The art deco style restaurant looks great and the lobby has great historical features. The room we had was very spacious and the decor was nice. On the less positive side, there is an active renovation underway. Work started at 7:30am, and was loud. The hotel also appears understaffed. When we arrived, I had questions about the room and the front desk agent was very rushed. We called down to the front desk when the room didn’t have bedding we needed and the AC wasn’t working. No one answered. We texted the line a QR code in the room told us to text. No one responded. We went down to the front desk twice before we got bedding. The AC was never addressed. The bed in the room had a significant and visible sag in the middle and wasn’t very comfortable. Overall, this is probably fine for a one night stay if you get a great deal and you keep expectations low. Otherwise, maybe it will improve in the future when the renovation is complete.
