Holiday Inn Resort Kissimmee by the Parks

No menue restaurant on site. Mediocare breakfast buffet and only pizza the other 2 meals. Very diappointing. ToCiletries were cheap and not desireable to use. Bath soap was a joke. Coffee machine and coffee came out water every morning. Pool was ok.

ATTENTION GENERAL MANAGER AND PRESIDENT OF WYNDAM HOTELS FLORIDA So many things, where do I start? This hotel just kicks the can down the road when it comes to service. Checked in and got to our room. There was a large bed and what was advertised as a pull-out sofa bed couch. I went to set it up and there were no sheets on it. We searched and found a blanket and a stained top sheet (yuk!) I called the front desk and the lady at the front said this was not meant to be used and that my daughter should sleep on the unopened couch. We requested fresh sheets and a blanket and it literally took them 2 days to get them to us. There was no HOT WATER in our suite. Each front desk person said they would send maintenance. It never got fixed. FOUR DAYS WITHOUT A SHOWER, REPEATED COMPLAINTS TO THE FRONT DESK, AND NO OFFER IN THIS 7 STORY HOTEL TO EVEN MOVE US SOMEWHERE ELSE. WE CALLED THE FRONT DESK FOUR DAYS IN A ROW AND NEVER DID GET ACTION OR EVEN MORE COMMUNICATION!!!! Each night we would come home from our day out, and each night I would call and they would tell me they would fix it. When we arrived initially There was a note that said if we needed new towels to put the old ones in the hallway and they would come by with new ones. They did not. I had to call late at night to get someone to bring some up. The lady at the front desk said it would be better if we came down to get them. When my wife went down, which was quite a walk after being on our feet all day, they said they had sent someone up with towels. When we got the towels, expecting the hot water to be fixed and take a shower, there was no hot water! Four days of calls! On top of this there was a $29 per day charge to use the pool and the jacuzzi was not working and was taped off. Whoever the General Manager of this hotel is, they need to get on the ball. Perhaps a new one should be considered? How do you run a hotel like this? Obviously they are out of touch with the fact that the CUSTOMERS are paying their bills. As a customer, I would like to see some compensation returned to our credit card for services not rendered. Ask yourself, would you like to stay in a place that treated you this way? This really put a damper on our vacation and I doubt Wyndam will be on our list for vacations in the future.

I had called to confirm if there were microwaves in the rooms. They had told me yes. Our dance studio was there for the Embody convention and we brought meals that needed to be heated up for our children. Unfortunately there isn't any microwave in each room like I had been advised.

It started off uncomfortable, but turned into a decent experience. At first, only one elevator was working & there was a line of moms trying to get up their rooms to get their child(ren) ready for a dance competition. The only “working” elevator stoped at each floor regardless of buttons pushed, taking an increase in time. By Saturday, 1 day later, they did have 2/3 elevators working. One family’s toilet didn’t work & had to be snaked, our bathroom door was hanging by one hinge, & the “newly fixed” elevator dropped our girls a few floors. The rooms were larger than normal, bedding clean, & pillows fluffy. The bathroom was a nice size w a nice standup shower & rain head. The “grille”, well, let’s just say we door dashed our food. The staff was pleasant & mostly helpful.

Our granddaughter participated in a dance competition at the Wyndham Orlando Resort and Conference Center Celebration Area. Checking in was a new experience. It was done by using a gadget that remotely connected you to a call center somewhere. It worked fine, but a bit impersonal. Overall the experience was good. The king size room was very nice.
