The rooms and hotel are fine for the price. Nothing wrong with them. But like some other reviews here, I also had problems with the deposit/tourist tax. We left our room in a good normal state and they still kept the deposit. And they double charged the tourist tax. I e-mailed them to explain the costs, but after a week still no answer. It's too bad that this problem still exists. Too bad, because it's a fine hotel otherwise at a great location.

Just spent five nights at this hotel and I will definitely be back on future trips to the big city! On arrival the staff at the reception desk were all very friendly in fact every staff member we come across were friendly and always greeted with a smile, we even got a complimentary bag of goodies that included biscuits, crisp, breakfast bars and bottles of water. There was a $150 security deposit when checking in. We had zero issues with the lifts during our entire stay. We stayed in a standard room (2 beds) the room had a hairdryer, iron bored and iron, and no need to bring toiletries as the room was stocked with full size bottles of dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and moisturiser! I didn’t even use any of my own toiletries that a brought with me. The room was lovely And smelt amazing and VERY clean Oh and the television was huge with 100s of Chanel’s. Our room was at the back of the hotel so no views but it was so quiet. We couldn’t hear any noise from the street, we laughed at how our home in the uk had more noise outside than NEW YORK CITY 😅 although there was a bit of noise out side the door in the hotel itself (floor 15) but it really didn’t bother us at all. The beds were very comfy and I’m really going to miss them. Also had firm and soft pillows to choose from. The location was perfect never too far from anywhere and subway stations close by. I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking about booking! clean rooms, comfy beds, great location. I’m going to miss looking forward to getting back to the hotel after a long day in the city. Thanks for a great stay 🥰

My daughter and I had booked a reservation at this hotel for our December 2024 mother/daughter trip, only to be told upon arrival that the reservation had been cancelled, with no notification to me or with my consent. The office manager told me that the reservation, which I had made on the IHG app, didn't have a credit card on it, but one of his staff had tried calling me the night before we arrived to get a credit card. Since I didn't return the call, the reservation was cancelled. However, my cell phone records do not show any missed calls from the hotel number the previous day, nor where there any missed messages on my cell phone. My daughter contacted IHG Guest relations to try to find us a new room at a similar rate since neither the office manager nor the front desk staff offered any assistance to find a new reservation. IHG guest relations made a pitiful attempt to find us a new reservation at a nearby property for the same or similar rate. The reservation had been made 3 months prior, so of course nothing was going to be the same the day we arrived, but also no attempt was made by guest relations to change a rate. I was given 25,000 points to my IHG account for the "inconvenience" we were experiencing. This amount wouldn't even cover 1/2 a night at the property, as it was a minimum of 60,000 points/night. We ended up booking a different property, on our own, and paid DOUBLE what we were expecting to pay. Once we got home, we contacted guest relations again but no resolution was offered by them. We were told it was up to the hotel manager. My daughter has left multiple voicemails for the hotel manager with no response. The most we have been offered via email was another 10,000 points, which is not only insulting but unsatisfactory. We have gone so far as to contact IHG Corporate Customer service executives, who did confirm that there was a valid credit card on the reservation. I have spent my career in customer service and the lack of service that was offered to us was horrendous. Whether you are a franchised property or company owned, you are representing IHG and should be held to the same standards, policies and expectations as every other property. What was supposed to be a fabulous time in NYC has been soured by this experience.

"Locked out of room overnight"

My husband and I stayed here for four nights last week. In the middle of our stay, we were locked out of our room overnight due to hotel error and were told we would not be able to get back into our room (or to any of our belongings) until the next morning when an engineer arrived at 9:30am. In addition to this causing us to miss our morning plans while waiting to get back into our room, we were completely without our belongings for an entire night, which included any clothing, work sensitive items and daily medication. The delay on having access to the medication has since cause medical issues that we're working to resolve. When we asked for compensation, the manager on site said it was not within his power to give, but that he would start an email with the GM. No such email was started. We have since reached out to this manager (Andy) to request again that he put us in touch with the GM, but we have still not received any communication. With this attitude, I would HIGHLY caution against booking this hotel for a stay. We were lucky not to have a flight out the next morning, or we would have been out of luck. And apparently the hotel is not interested in correcting their error.

"The lifts"

The room was okay but the Lifts were poor it’s a 25 floor hotel and it’s only got 2 lifts when we were trying to check out my family and I were stood for 20 minutes waiting for a lift and everyone went past and the we had to keep re pressing the button, when we finally got on there was 2 maids pressing the closed door button so it wouldn’t stop at any floors, it’s a shame because it’s a nice hotel it really ruined the experience.
