"Nice Hotel Offering Good Value"

Nice hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Located pretty far from downtown KC but very close to the Worlds of Fun theme Park. Offered excellent value for the quality of the hotel and the price that we paid.

Stayed here one night in May of 2024. Check in was good. The lady at the front desk was nice. The room was great. Looked very clean and modern. Temperature controls on the thermostat worked well, we always like a cold room at night. Shower was amazing. I always prefer the newer showers with the sliding glass doors. Wi-Fi worked good. Never used the TV. Was a bit disappointed their was no continental breakfast. We did eat at the "restaurant" and were the only ones there. Food says cooked to order but was obviously pre-made. Still decent though. Overall, it was a good experience. The property looked new and clean. Would stay again.

"A flawless, effortless stay"

Pros: New property, friendly staff, comfortable and quiet guest rooms, no problems to speak of. Cons: Immediate area doesn't have much to offer in the way of shopping and restaurants. In any year I spend upwards of 120 nights in hotels so for me to find one that doesn't stress me in any way is difficult. I am happy to say my stay at this new Holiday inn property didn't cause me any headaches or stress. It was easy and effortless from check-in to check-out. My room was spacious and included both a work desk and chair/table so I didn't have to watch TV while lying in bed in a weird position. The shower had decent water pressure, I didn't hear any guests in adjacent rooms, and I didn't have to hack the thermostat to get the room to a comfortably cool temperature. There was always parking available not too far from the door, every front desk employee was friendly, and the ice water in the lobby was always full- and welcome because of the warm weather. Although no fault of the hotel, the immediate area doesn't have much to offer aside from the Worlds of Fun theme park. There is a Wendy's, Burger King, Waffle House, Taco Bell, and QuikTrip convenience store/gas station, but nothing in the way of sit-down restaurants, grocery stores, and other kinds of retail. For that, a short drive is required in either direction. This is one of the rare hotels for which I would not hesitate returning to for another stay. There is definite value in stress-less experiences.

"Fair. Disappointed for what seems like a new hotel."

A fair stay at the Holiday Inn. The staff was very friendly and nice. This hotel seemed to have recently been completed, but was already showing signs of heavy use and poor upkeep. The main lobby was already looking worn. The main lobby carpet needed cleaning. The walls around the hotel had been halfway repaired from moving items in. The shower had caulking on the middle panels to repair holes from sub par craftsmanship. I loved the size of the gym and nice gym flooring. However, it looked like no one had cleaned it since the hotel opened. There was rust forming on the weight storage, dirt/dust collected on machines and the hand sanitizer station. The stay wasn’t uncomfortable, but I’ve certainly stayed in cleanlier, more up-kept Holiday Inn’s before. It was simply.. fair.

"New hotel, unique customer service story"

We were in KC for a gymnastics meet for my daughter. My wife was unable to attend, and Dad (me) can’t do braids, so my wife called and asked the hotel for a reference to a salon nearby. Instead, Alyssa at the front desk offered to do it. This illustrates true “help the customer” attitude. Thanks, Alyssa! You saved the day for us. Oh...the hotel is new, price and room was great. But the thing I'll remember about this trip is the customer service.
