"Mediocre at best"

We were given the top floor (24) and as soon as we checked in, I set the thermostat from 74 to 62. We went out to a concert and at midnight the room was still too warm, as it was when we awoke in the morning. The toilet seat was broken, stains in the toilet, and the floor wasn’t very clean. The beds were reasonably comfortable. For what we paid, we will not be back.

"Terrible hotel"

Where to start? How about the noise? I am well acquainted with the goings on in the lives of the guests in rooms above, below, and next to me. Any speech above a whisper can be heard clearly in other rooms. The cleanliness? Barely any at all. The paint on the walls of our bathroom was sloughing off from obvious leaks. The linens were mildew stained. Enough said. But worst of all is the heat. Oh my word. They do not have individual controls for heating or cooling in the rooms. Our room was 80 degrees inside while the outside temperature was sub-freezing. The staff were friendly and apologetic about it. But said, “it’s an old building and all we can do is offer you a box fan or turn the heat off altogether.” In a nutshell: This hotel is terrible. Avoid it at all costs. Sleep in your car if you must. You’ll be more comfortable.

"Get the HVAC under control"

Aside from the rude, brisk check-in, he room wash crazy hot (above 80) when we checked in. We thought we turned the heat down and went out for dinner to let it cool off. We got back and it was even more hot. We called the desk and they sent up a technician to turn off the heat and give us a box fan. The AC on our floor was out. Also the refrigerator didn’t work. The view was nice, but we were sweating while trying to enjoy it.

"Not a good stay"

Our stay at the Denver downtown Holiday Inn Express was not up to standard. Every once in a while we could smell cannabis (Marijuana) come into our room. We were not advised when we pulled in that the parking was $57 a night. Found out after one night. They should have told us before we checked in.

"Hotel Policies & Mgmt Indifferent to IHG Loyalty & Service"

Staff pleasant location good. The mgmt, and hotel policies really disappointing. (1) arrived early, not advised of early check-in fee (charged early ck-in) (2) changed Rez to depart 1 day earlier that booked (charged early ck-out) (3) staff could not print a complete folio (4) mgr on-duty indicated she had her staff "competing" to see who could get the most fees when I asked about #1 and #2. (5) mgr said I must be wrong, that it was her 'best agent' (6) mgr said because they're associated to 'Autograph...' something that they had rigid policies, and could only refund one of the two unannounced chgs (7) mgr said that if I was a Diamond IHG (and not just Platinum) maybe there'd be more she could do. (8) phoned IHG customer support (who cannot actually do anything btw, just "pass the information along to the hotel") and they were indifferent about the Loyalty failures (9) Zero courtesy follow-ups from the Hotel (no calls, no emails (nothing in Spam folder). ***Suggest to not stay with this property
