Hilton Vacation Club Mystic Dunes Orlando in Orlando, FL

I’ve been coming to Mystic dunes with my family for over 10 years, they have a wonderful walk-in pool with waterslide and waterfall. However, this year they removed more than half of the chairs at the pool. It’s a busy pool and there has always been a shortage but now it’s just terrible. I had to go to Walmart to buy camping chairs to bring to the pool. There were several other people that did the same thing.

ALMOST Everything about this property was Great! The size of the 2 Bedroom unit was Outstanding. Appliances and mattresses were great. Amenities were very nice but very Expensive compared to other comparable resorts. The unit's are getting a little dated. Furniture not overly comfortable but typical. A couple uneven spots under the carpeted floor There's No discount on golf unless you're an owner, which is unfortunate. But we will put it in our Top 5 in the Orlando area.

I’m writing this as a complaint against the sales department at Mystic Dunes. First of all I recommend all club owners and qualified personnel when making reservations never accept attending a tour thru the call center. When checking into any HVG property you have go to the concierge to get a parking pass and some coupons of the area. Accept the “Free Gift” then and attend the 60 minute tour if you are a club owner or 90 minutes if you aren’t. Let the salesperson know up front you aren’t interested in buying. They purposely mislead you into buying which could go on much longer. The goal of a presentation is to get you to buy. During your presentation salespeople will use different tactics to play with your emotions and break down your defenses. Taking up to 8 hours of your vacation time to listen to a subspecies of human making false accusations. When you purchase into a timeshare, you are basically writing a blank check and promised the different programs and benefits which comes with the misleading garbage. If it’s too good to believe then it’s not a good deal, so I recommend you to not be friendly get to why you attended for the “Free Gift” no pressure say no and if you feel like you are being harsh or being threatened don’t hesitate to call 911. Remember the subspecies of human sale person is just a license real state which could easily get their license suspended.

I have Been coming to mystic dunes for 8 years now and the last 2 years it has really gone down hill. from staff lying, to staff complete lack of communication, to about half the amount of chairs by the pool as other years. They finally put a sign out that there is no saving chairs, but unfortunately no one respects the sign or other paying guests. Why as a guest should we have to go buy our own chairs to sit by the pool when we pay so much to stay there already? Unfortunately when you bring up matters with management it’s all they do is give you lip service and just tell you what you want to hear without fixing the problem. The only Good side is rooms are phenomenal, as well as the golf club.

Hilton Grand Vacations Mystic Dunes is one of our most favorite resorts to stay at when we are in the Orlando, FL area. Not only because of the newly fully renovated beautiful blue/crème décor rooms complete with full kitchen, all utensils; washer/dryer; separate living/dining room and bedroom; and patio/balcony overlooking the golf course or wooded areas; 4 pool complexes (one with waterslide & fun activities: live music, games, crafts, etc.); huge workout room; bike rental, basketball & tennis courts, putt-putt; and gorgeous, lush landscaping that is maintained continuously and makes for beautiful walking paths; on-sight restaurant that provides room service; proximity to stores and entertainment; but also because of the AMAZING staff! I must give special shoutouts to front desk staff who always have, and continue, to go way above and beyond in regard to taking care of us: Bouchra, Naomi, Lillian who work with us tirelessly, graciously, and kindly answering emails and phone calls immediately to ensure that our room is exactly what we want. Nice to meet Wayne, Christine, Nora and catch-up with Roxanne again who was the first person we met at the resort 2 years ago! The maintenance staff is so kind, courteous and professional! We see them working or driving their carts to/from assignments, and they always toot their horn, wave, and as they can stop to say “hi”, a kind word or chat a bit: Dukay, Roger, Oliver, Alexi, Francis, Jhonny, Socrates and Phillipe who stopped what he was doing and helped me put my luggage into my car. So many others also are incredibly kind but I was not able to get everyone’s name. I haven’t seen Supervisor Denyse who always stopped her cart to say hi and hope that all is well. We swim often and pool staff too is wonderful. Shoutouts for jobs well done to Carlos & Belkie and of course Jose and Tony who ensure the water is sparkling clean and a great temperature; all of them too stopping to wave, say “hi” and chat as they can😊!!! Engineering: Gaddiel fixing our door lock & bringing us a new remote; Ryan & Alecia replacing the automatic close on our door. Haven’t seen Nelson and I hope too that all is well as he was always so kind. Security at the front gate seems to know us as they always open the gate when we drive back into the resort; Ashley stopping her cart to see if we needed anything, and Leo driving his cart but stopping to pick up a huge palm leaf that was in the middle of the road. Also shout out to the entire activities team for their great Halloween fun in the parking lot of the lobby and insisting that I take as much candy as I wanted when the event concluded and to Diego who drives the housekeeping van and always waves and says “hi”. And last but not least, all of the wonderful staff who respond within seconds to any text requests (love, love, love the ability to text a request – best thing ever😊!!): Bouchra, Elisa, Giovanna, Joana, Lori, Mairim, Nora, Patricia, Paul, Raja, Renee, Shanta. Thank you all – you are the reason we choose this resort as because of your kindness and graciousness (and always how professional you are), we feel like welcome family whenever we stay here!!! Finally, I know that this AMAZING guest “care” starts with Resort General Manager Manuel who responds to emails and requests & ensures that our stay is AMAZING – THANK YOU ALL!!
