Recently my husband and I stayed at the Hilton San Diego Bay Front and used valet parking and on our last day, while checking out, we discovered paint scratch on the rear passenger side of our 2023 Mercedes. The scratch was very obvious that drew our attention to the spot right away with paint powder still on it as if the scratch was new. We immediately notified the valet attendance and they informed us that their manager was not working that day, but would give us a call within a few days, which he did. The manager later informed us that they reviewed the camera and said that the scratch was there when we checked in, but when I asked if I can see the camera, he refused and said that it's Hilton's policies that they cannot show the camera. This doesn't sound right to me. There's a possibility that the scratch might have occurred prior to checking into valet, although the scratch was so obvious that when the car parked it's right in front of me so not sure how we could have missed it, but it's not fair that valet expect me to just accept what I was told without showing me the video. I have called Hilton and Hilton informed me that valet is a separate entity and referred me back to valet. I am so frustrated and feel that I am being treated unjustly.

Terrible customer service!! As a diamond member I expected more. I was even told by Andrew at at the front desk that I could just stay at a different property, what a way to to treat a loyal Hilton customer…even during the disruptive strike, Thanks for showing I’m valued!!

Really nice view and comfortable beds! Jane and Kelly from the front desk were amazing! Definitely will be coming back. Also, the morning bartender/server is a really cool dude. Food was delicious! Drinks were also great; I appreciate the bar closing a bit later as well.

The worst customer service that we have ever received. My wife became sick and when we asked for help simply to reserve another room, we were given all sorts of roadblocks. There were rooms available. Because it was under her name they made her come down to confirm it, despite the fact she and I share a last name and I had her drivers license.

I’m not normally one to bother leaving reviews, but people need to be made aware of how understaffed the hotel is in general, as well as how poorly trained the housekeeping staff is. When we arrived, we discovered that just about every surface in our room was covered in a layer of dust due to the fact that it had not been occupied in over a week and housekeeping had forgotten to clean it prior to our arrival. Every day housekeeping forgot to replenish at least one item….towels…Kleenex….TP, etc. Breakfast was generally a zoo due to a lack of waitstaff, meaning that you had to wait 20-30 minutes for a table. The hotel itself is nice, and the room was fine, but the level of service was way below what would be expected for a supposed 4-star hotel.
