The night time ladies Hoalan and Connie are awesome. I also love Anthony and Cass at the front desk. Super professional and welcoming. Anything I need I know I can count on them to get it for me. I’m so appreciative. The valet person Michael was also courteous. They have very great team here. However, housekeeping isn’t the greatest but for the price what do u expect.

Dear Michael McLeod, I wanted to let you know that Richard Jennings is truly a fabulous team member at your hotel. He goes above and beyond to ensure that everything goes right with our conferences. I had the pleasure to work with him for three conferences (October, November and January) and I could count on him to make sure that our packages arrived and we could set up with no hiccups. I wish there was a Richard Jennings at all the hotels that I travel to for work. Thank you for employing such a hard working, professional & kind person on your team. You should be proud that he is representing the staff at your hotel. It is a pleasure to stay at Hilton Portland Downtown because of your team. I also truly appreciate all the prompt texts from the entire team - making my stay absolutely wonderful!

The Hilton Portland hotel is one of my favorite hotels to stay at, every time I travel from down south I know I’m waited to be greeted by such a kind and friendly staff. Hoalahn was one of the best night porters I have came across! From her punctuality, to work ethic she really made me feel she was to be trusted with my vehicle and personal belongings! I love coming here!

"Undisclosed Package Fee"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed January 11, 2025
Currently staying here for a few wk for work. Shipped a few small packages that arrived after I checked in and was then informed by the FD I would have to pay $3.50 per package that was received. I was never informed of this fee (or policy) upon check-in and it’s not listed on the hotel website with other fees and policies. I did my due diligence in making myself familiar with fees prior I thought. The FD manager Ethan was less than friendly and argumentative. Not the quality customer service I’m used to in staying at Hiltons for years. He produced a marketing flyer mainly providing recommendations in local dining and pointed to this fee being disclosed on there. However, I was not given this at check-in nor had I seen it prior. I asked him to waive the package fees since these fees and policy were not disclosed, and therefore I was not given the option to explore other shipping options (such as Amazon lockers or minimizing boxes, etc). He remained argumentative and took my packages with him since I didn’t have a cc with me.

"Very Good Hotel/ Recommend"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed December 10, 2024
Excellent upgrades to a favorite hotel. The rooms are clean and all staff are positive and very accommodating. Walkable to everything downtown Portland has to offer and in a relatively safe area in regards to what’s left commercially in this part of the city. Didn’t try the in hotel restaurant as there are many wonderful eating places nearby. The only negative and the reason for the. 4 stars, is on the last night of our stay, the room smelled like marijuana which made for a rough night. Either the filtering system in the hotel was off or one of our neighbors at the Hilton was violating the no smoking policy. Highly recommend if the price is in your budget as compared to other downtown Portland hotels.
