Located on the shores of the Delaware River, it is a very nice hotel that is within walking distance of historic Philadelphia. Independence Hall, visitor center and the Liberty Bell are about a 15 minute walk. There are also lots of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel features an indoor pool that is clean and well kept. The rooms are a very nice size. There is a fridge and coffee pot but no microwave. There is an onsite restaurant that we visited for the breakfast buffet but also serves food later in the day. There is also a bar off the lobby, but doesn't interfere with the comings and goings of the patrons. For breakfast, we stopped into Eli's, a little bistro area that had coffees, teas and pastries, along with a few hot food items. If purchasing a City sightseeing bus pass, there is a stop right across the street.

Reasonably OK. The check-in folks were very friendly. They didn't quite understand why I would need bike parking, so I wound up locking my bike to the racks at Spruce Street. My room was ready immediately and didn't have any housekeeping issues. The curtains made the room dark for sleeping and there weren't any excess noises. The view was nice but the windows were exceptionally dirty on the outside and haven't been cleaned in a long time. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Whatever they clean the room surfaces with acts like Armor All, every surface had a greasy sheen on it. My grippy phone case slid along the nightstand almost frictionless and I was worried I was going to pull my CPAP off the nightstand. All of the outlets need to be replaced, they have essentially no tension left and plugs fall right out of them. The bathroom was underwhelming. One sink, old tub, landlord shower head, grout was dirty. Good pressure and hot water. The lobby cafe had reasonable morning coffee options. The pool was a bit too chilly, considering it's an indoor heated pool. There were some weird elevator issues in the morning with the card reader not working correctly. I wouldn't avoid it but it's not my first choice in the area.

Can’t really leave a favorable review for this establishment because I have been waiting in the lobby for (going on) 3 hours for my room to become available. Other patrons have been coming in well after my arrival and they have been checked in and given rooms. I asked to speak to a hotel manager and was told by the desk person that there was not one available.

We were extremely disappointed in our overnight stay. The entire time we were there there was trash on the floor in the hallways of our hotel rooms. One of the toilets did not flush and it took over 5 hours and a lot of excuses to get someone to finally fix it after 10:00 pm (which took less than 10 minutes). The tub and tile in our bathroom were worn and dirty.
