"Poor quality all around"

We booked this hotel following good reviews and couldn’t see why it was only a 3 star hotel (especially with the price tag)… after staying there for 4 nights I can see why and am compelled to write an honest review. We had booked a 2 room suite costing $3500 after inputting the guests staying (2 adults, 2 children). And given the price were expecting a nice room. On arrival at the hotel, no one was there to greet us or help with bags, show us where to park.. so we parked ourselves and lugged two kids in strollers and 3 cases into the hotel. Check in was fine, and then a bellman did help us up to our room. The room was spacious, but very in need of updating. No overhead lighting whatsoever. Just a few lamps, which seemed ridiculous. The shower had next to no pressure and covered in limescale. The balcony doors were faulty, and one wouldn’t lock at all. One room had one bed, and another a sofa bed. But the sofa wasn’t set up into a bed… I would’ve expected knowing we had 4 guests this would’ve been set up as a bed on arrival. We headed to the pool which was SO overcrowded, no lifeguard, and so busy. The towels they give you are such terrible condition. So small and incredibly thin, faded and just poor quality. The sunbeds are of equal poor quality and uncomfortable. We found the beach a nicer setting although those sunbeds are even worse. The old fashioned kind of strip bands around a metal frame which are so uncomfortable. It meant we didn’t want to stay in the hotel really, which was nice in it meant we went out and explored, but for the price we had paid it really was not worth it. The second morning I saw another room being cleaned and it was one room with two double beds, which given our kids are 3 and 6 would’ve been much better suited to us. I asked at reception if we could swap and we could’ve swapped the next day, but no money back and would obviously have been a big downgrade. We didn’t want our kids to sleep on the sofa bed (which is appalling it’s called a bed to be honest) as the faulty balcony doors and they are too little / young to be in a separate room in this case. We decided to stick with our room and just slept with 4 in one bed. On our third day we went out for the day and came back in the evening to find housekeeping had left our room open all day. They’d put the lock across which meant anyone could’ve gone into our room all day. My husband flagged this to reception and all they said is that they’d speak to housekeeping… nothing else. It made us feel unsafe to be honest. I tried a few times to queue up to speak to someone at front desk, but each time it was busy and my young kids didn’t want to wait. All in all, we were incredibly disappointed with our stay, and can’t believe we spent the amount we did for such poor quality.

Great resort right on the gulf. The rooms are very spacious with a very comfy bed. All of the employees were super friendly. Drinks were affordable and the food was very good at the restaurant. A lot of perks with the resort. Really enjoyed my stay there.

This Hilton Hotel continues to deliver a enjoyable vacation experience... Our plane was delayed...arriving later in the day, room space was limited...however through the efforts of Christy and Rachael at the front desk...we were assigned a comparable room in short order.....the staff acknowledged our Diamond status.. upon arrival and noted our previous stay...Max and Christy at front desk continuined to assist for the next five days...printing out our boarding passes etc. We enjoyed our lunches by the pool and dinner in the restaurant at night. Staff employees..."Frenchie" (maintenance) ...Jim and Manuel (Bell staff) added something extra to our stay.... Rooms well appointed and clean....house keeping did a great job

"Bachelorette party fail!!!"

Bachelorette party dinner fail on April 4th. Walking into the restaurant the thirteen attendees had high hopes for this Hilton restaurant. After giving our name for our reservation outside the hostess said they could only do inside. DISAPPOINTED. Next, the hostess led us to our TWO SEPARATE tables inside. That’s right, even asking if we could PLEASE all sit together to celebrate our soon to be bride, they talked to “the manager” and was told they could not accommodate one table. We sat down and there were tables all around us that stayed empty the entire night. The restaurant was never more than half full inside. Please keep in mind also that both tables had the same waitress. DISAPPOINTED. We looked at our menu and ordered our meal. More than half of us did not like our meal. The quinoa bowl in particular was flavorless and didn’t taste how a quinoa bowl should taste. Others, like myself ordered the Shrimp pasta. When they placed the shrimp pasta dish in front of me, I thought they forgot to add the shrimp. After some careful scavenger hunt through my dish I was able to locate FOUR SMALL SHRIMP. The shrimp were mixed into the pasta. The pasta dish tasted like something that was sitting in a crockpot spooned onto the plate and reheated. Everyone else who ordered the shrimp pasta also only har four small shrimp mixed in as well. DISAPPOINTED. Lastly we ordered several espresso martinis. Some were creamy and some were not at all creamy. When asked why they were so different, the waitress said that it would just depend on which bartender made them. What???? The espresso martinis could not have been more different. Consistency is key when dining at a restaurant. DISAPPOINTED! We have a house on Marco Island and this was our first time dining at The Deck @ 560. Needless to say this will be our last. This is a pricier meal, and thankfully there are many many many other restaurants on the island at this price point who do much better. Our experience here explains there were so many empty tables.
