Hilton Garden Inn Louisville Airport in Louisville, KY

I wasn’t sure I would ever stay at this hotel again after a previous visit (see prior review). However, my co-workers selected this hotel and for convenience and easier coordination it ended up working out okay for a quick 2 night stay. The room was clean, but the bed was not really that comfortable. I was in room 511. This floor has not been renovated yet, so it seemed a bit outdated in terms of furnishings. I was disappointed that the bathroom didn’t have the typical Hilton hand soap and lotion pumps, only a bar of soap was provided. The shower did have the gel, shampoo and conditioner pumps. There is light coming in from around the curtains, so I had to position pillows and other items to try to push the curtains closer to the wall to make it better. The worst aspect was for both nights (Tues 1/7 and Wed 1/8) between 1-2am I was awoken by loud banging and ruckus outside the back of the hotel, toward the I65 side/east side of property. I didn’t look out the window then. It sounded like a large dumpster or container being loaded and then dropped again on the parking lot. On Thurs morning, I heard similar noises around 7:30am and this time I looked out and saw what appeared to be contractors disposing of large material into those empty containers. Perhaps management needs to contact the one in charge of the renovations and advise that it is not helpful to have their dumpsters replaced in the middle of the night creating so much noise. I did hear some noise from the airport, but it’s better than some of the other hotels on that area. In general my lack of sleep was noise from the dumpster situation and the light coming in around the curtains. I did not eat the breakfast (for a charge) but did look for decaf coffee one morning. I filled my cup and it looked very light brown and not like it should. It tasted terrible, but I didn’t have time to go back and raise the concern and wait for a fresh batch to be brewed. The hotel does seem to be overall managed well and kept up and is clean. Just know there are some things going on right now that may disturb your sleep.

The roads were a bit crowded getting to the hotel but we had no issues with parking. The front desk was easy to find but had a few minute wait due to the other travelers ahead of us. Lots of people in the lobby which we learned was due to 2 different family reunions happening. Check in was quickly accomplished. No included breakfast but could be purchased the next morning for some high price. The room was very nice. Spacious, comfortable and very clean. It was quite nice. I would stay here again.

This hotel is nice. It's quite and clean. I always worry about staying at hotels because you just never know from the pictures online, but I was not disappointed. The only downfall is breakfast is not complimentary, with how much they charge a night you would think it would be. There is a restaurant in the lobby but I didn't eat there as there was always a lobby full of people waiting. But if you are looking for a quite clean room, this is absolutely the right hotel.

This is a very nice and clean hotel. The staff is so friendly and will bend over backwards to accommodate! Breakfast hostess and server are super. Best Hilton Garden I’ve ever been in! I will definitely go back when I am in the Louisville, Kentucky area.

If you find yourself in Louisville, please seriously consider staying here. You are literally a mile from the University of Louisville, about 2 miles from the airport, and 3 - 4 miles tops from downtown. In addition to a very convenient location, the staff at this hotel is excellent! The front desk is efficient, accomodating, and friendly, the housekeeping is spotless, and the breakfast is awesome. The food is really tasty and the breakfast staff is really incredible! We would not hesitate to stay here again!
