"Beautiful Hotel - But Rooms Need Serious Updating"

I really want to write a great review for this hotel because I've stayed here in the past and it's a beautiful hotel, both inside and out. But I have to be honest and provide others with helpful information on my recent experience. When I walked into the front entrance of the hotel, I saw how beautiful it was. Clean, modern, and inviting. But when I walked into my hotel room, (Room 418), I immediately was overwhelmed with a musty, moldy smell. And it's a strong odor. It was so overwhelming that I requested to switch rooms, and I want to thank Yatin greatly for escorting me to two other rooms so I could choose one I wanted. But both rooms still had a musty, moldy smell... Just not as strong as room 418. I switched to room 526, which had a tolerable musty smell. But when I turned the A/C down, the smell got worse. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to be a bother, and I was only there for 2 nights and wouldn't be spending a lot of time in the hotel room. So I just dealt with it. Also, when I opened the wooden drawers to put my clothes away, the odor that came out of those drawers was SO horrendously bad, I decided to just live out of my suitcase. I should also note that the toilets in my first room AND my second room would constantly run from time to time. Woke me up a few times in the middle of the night. With all of that being said, there are some good things about this hotel. The nightly happy hour is fantastic, and the free breakfast is wonderful. Made to order eggs and omelets is definitely a plus. Staff is very helpful and friendly, and the amenities are nice. They have a very nice pool and the beds are quite comfortable. In summary, this hotel is OK to stay at, but it definitely needs some very serious updating of their rooms. And if you have any type of respiratory issues, I would not recommend staying here.

This hotel was ok but not great. The rooms are pretty worn. The A/C made a noise on & off all night that would wake us up. The toilet overflowed 2 times in 3 days. There is no restaurant/bar at the hotel even though they show it in the photos on the hotel's website and on other booking sites. There is literally no where to get food or drink besides breakfast or the 2 hour cocktail hour. The pool is very cold. Most of the staff was good but the front desk staff of Yatan & Thomas are not knowledgeable about various things that they should know & weren't very helpful. I think this hotel would be fine for a 1 night stay while passing through the area. It is pretty expensive for what you get.

I wouldn't recommend or stay here again. Not horrible but not good. The rooms are old. The A/C in the rooms made a cranking noise all night. The toilet overflowed 2 times in 3 days. There is no restaurant at the hotel even though they show one in the photos on the hotel's website. Truly no place in the hotel to eat or get a cocktail besides the 2 hour cocktail hour. There is a gas station 2 blocks away if needed though. The pool was freezing. Lastly, the front desk staff was really just ok. Not very knowledgeable or fair about many things. The rest of the staff was mostly good. Hotel probably best for just a 1 night stay while driving through.

Not a terrible choice but wouldn't stay there again. Reception was helpful and friendly. Rooms dated e.g. no USB-C charging outlet. Smelled musty maybe like stale smoke in room. Sign says it is a smoke-free property yet our room was just above the smoking area (terrace). Gym was large and well-equipped. Good breakfast and you can ask for a custom omelette, pancakes, porridge (thanks!). But it's a buffet breakfast - I don't want a waitperson coming by to check on me! Just put out a thermos of real coffee please. And if you clear my dishes when I'm up getting more it means I then have to go back for fresh silverware. Get some bagels besides plain. AC kept starting and stopping. No screen mirroring on TV I think. There was a suggestion to download an app but seemed like it was just to e.g. adjust volume from one's phone? Wifi kept saying 'connected without internet'.

Our experience at the Hilton, other than the way Management handled our one complaint, was more than adequate. The breakfast was unusually good and the staff were lovely. The pool was actually nicer than expected. The one complaint that we had was that the fitness room was under construction and “temporarily relocated” to another area in the hotel. The temporary location was the size of a closet. It was dirty with very few machines and even less space to work out. When we complained, we were told that corporate was offering unsatisfied guests 50% of the cost of going to a gym pitside of the hotel. When we complained that we did not think we should be having to pay anything to be able to use a service which was supposed to be 100% included in the hotel charge, the manager told us that he would call corporate. That was on Friday. We heard nothing. When we checked at the front desk on Sunday, the person at registration looked at the Manager’s notes and said there was nothing written about calling corporate. She said she would follow up and again we heard nothing. When we checked out on Monday, another person at the front desk said she would speak with the manager who was coming in after we left and have him/her call us. In addition to that never happening the person and/or computer who had texted me several times to ask “ how my stay was going“ suddenly stopped as soon as I told “him“ what our problem was and he replied that they “were working on it”. We never heard from “him“ again either. What I also found interesting is that I never received a survey from the hotel to fill out a day or two after check out which is probably a first when staying in a hotel. It was clear that they did not want to hear our feedback. While the hotel was mostly fine, it is clear that Management will do nothing other than give lip service and that the hotel does not care when something goes awry. I am in the Boca Raton area frequently, but I will not be staying at this hotel again.
