"Nice Hampton on the waterfront!"

Great location, well appointed room and pleasant staff. The gentlemen that ran the breakfast area was very kind and genuine. Only small issue was the cleanliness of the bathtub which hair hairs stuck to the floor of the tub. Right across from village / shopping mall and entertainment district.

"Looks good on paper, but disappointing"

The hotel did not seem well maintained. The room key card did not work. When we went down to get a new key we were told many of the handles open by pushing up instead of down… if they knew this to be an issue for many rooms, it would have been nice to be informed when they gave us the key card so we didn’t have to carry our luggage up and down twice to say the door wouldn’t open. (While we were in the elevator we ran into another guest who was in the process of changing their room because of a leak or something.) Also, the wall mount for the bathtub body soap dispenser seemed to have fallen off the wall before the room was cleaned/prepared, because the soap bottle was just propped up on the side of the tub, wall mount still attached to the bottle. There was a musty smell that wouldn’t go away with turning the A/C on high. Lastly, there is no stop sign or traffic light to get across the busy main street the hotel sits on to get to the nearby shopping center/restaurants/movie theatre. The view of the river was kind of relaxing, but we were only in the room at night, so I can’t even say it was a redeeming aspect of the stay. We go to Pittsburgh a bunch of times throughout the year. We wanted to like the hotel, but we will not be returning.

"Worst Hampton Inn I have ever been in."

My husband and I stayed for a weekend to visit our family. The best thing about the hotel is the location close to the shops . Our rate was $250 a night not including taxes. The room is basic. Towels are thin we had only two in our room. Bath mat was missing. Had to ask for one. Hair on the bathroom floor and the shower floor needs scrubbed with bleach . Looks dirty. Bathroom floor was dirty in the corners also. The toilet was broken. It was loose from the floor so every time it is sat on it moves off the wall with a bang. I reported this. The mattress did not have a mattress pad on it. Just a thin sheet on the mattress . I told the front staff and was told they do not use mattress pads. I have never been to a hotel that does not use a mattress pad. And I have been to many. They did not clean our room during our stay. We came back late to a unkept room after a very long day. When I asked the next morning why our room was not cleaned, I was told they don’t clean the room unless you ask. We were never told this on check in and there are no signs about that policy. They said they don’t clean rooms unless asked anymore since covid. All the hotels I have been to are back to regular service now. I dont understand it and I think they must be understaffed.I won’t go back here and I don’t recommend this hotel .

"Disappointed"

We stayed here one night. The common areas and hallways of this hotel are like any other hotel in this chain. On the surface, they’re nicely decorated. The room was nice too. What was most disappointing and gross was the cleanliness of the bathroom. My flip flops felt like they were sticking to the tile floor in the bathroom. The tile grout was black because it was so dirty. The tile grout behind the toilet was white where there’s no foot traffic. The shower door tracks were disgustingly dirty. The white shower pan needed a good scrubbing with Comet and bleach. We won’t stay here again.

Disgusting room. We noticed an odor on the room. Traced it to the filters on the A/C unit. They had not been replaced or serviced in months. We were concerned about our health and checked out early. There was also black mold in the shower. Reported to management who did not seem to care. Guests be aware.
