Hampton Inn By Hilton And Suites Myrtle Beach/Oceanfront in Myrtle Beach, SC

When we first checked in, I was a little worried because everyone was getting refunds due to the elevators not working. Some people were on the 12th floor and having to take luggage and kids up and down etc. However, luckily we were in the South tower, on the 2nd floor and the elevators were working. The receptionist who was an employee from the other Hampton Inn (bearfoot landing) was amazing. She had people coming and yelling at her, demanding refunds etc. and she handled it well. Now, the other receptionist that was there the next day, Ian, he is extremely rude and doesn’t need to be the first person to greet you with such a nasty attitude. Anyways, We had 2 connecting rooms. The rooms were very clean. We had a king with a shower/tub as well as a walk in shower, a kitchen and small dining area. Our other room was 2 queens and a regular bathroom. Both rooms were ocean front. Beds were comfortable. No complaints there. Now, the pool area is where I had a problem. The pools were very dirty. The pools had a greasy film over it and lots of trash and debris in the pool. The only reason I didn’t make too big of a deal about it is because it was a little chilly anyways and it’s still spring so maybe they didn’t expect people to actually get in. They say they have “indoor” pools but it’s really not. It’s just a covered pool. We went down on our first night thinking the kids would get to swim in a warm, indoor heated pool. Wrong. The pool area is only covered. Imagine being in a gazebo. You’re covered but all of the sides are out. The breakfast was decent. Waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, muffins, etc. The restaurant food was decent. The parking spaces are very tight. We were driving a SUV and goodness it was a tight squeeze. Overall, our stay was good. I would come back again. I just hope they get the elevator situation fixed because that could’ve easily been me and I would’ve been upset as well, so I get why the others were angry. Other than those few things, the hotel is overall nice and worth the stay.

This is the third year in a row I stayed here in March. The area is going down hill. The pet areas were closed off and I had to use the vacant lot to take the dog out at 2 am and there's always a different homeless person sleeping in the front step area by the south entrance. The parking lot reeks of pot. Very unsafe if you have pets at this hour. Carry pepper spray. Besides this this Hampton resort was nice as usual. Clean rooms and nice ocean view. Breakfast was typical Hampton and good except the imitation eggs. Just remove them and add biscuits and gravy. Also why have check in on the app if you won't give a room assignment and still have to check in? Over all It dropped from 5 stars to 4 stars with a 30 percent price increase.

This Hampton was clean and comfortable...breakfast was ok. Was hoping for biscuits but was still good. Decent location. My ocean view was not a view but a sliver. The Reel grill was a good lunch place. Desk help was very nice and helpful. Boardwalk down the street was fun. Dallas GA

Great location, amazing ocean views, multiple pools, lazy river, good parking. Hotel has several great gathering places on first floor. Our covered balcony was a great place to watch sunrise, beach activities, crashing waves, and a distant lightening storm. I would happily recommend this hotel.

The hotel is fine. Great views and the staff were helpful and friendly. We had issues with our bathroom sink which took 2 attempts to fix but they did the work upon the first request both times. The hotel was clean throughout. We had issues with the room next door smoking weed and the hotel moved us to a very nice room. It was inconvenient to move but they were very accommodating. Breakfast was standard hotel fair. They rotated hot items which my husband appreciated. Very little fresh fruit but otherwise fine. Decent value for the price. Pools were clean other than sand that people tracked in from the beach. The pool area could use some beautification but it was very functional. We would stay here again.
