"Not downtown but close to attractions."

This location was recently renamed and refurbished. Our room was clean and well stocked with towels etc. Daily breakfast was a delight and hot when it should be. The afternoon cookies were appreciated. Our stay was during the colder FL weather but the hotel was warm and open armed.

The Facility is ok. Not worth the money though. The shower floor makes all kind of noise when you are in the shower. The hallways looked like nobody vacuumed the 2 nights we were there. My biggest pet peeve with this location is they charge $20 for parking on top of their already exuberant Holiday Fees. This is our second time to this Hampton and our last. There are plenty of other Hotels and Air BNB's that can accommodate us without the nickle and dime parking fees.

"A nice convenient hotel that is everything it claims to be and should be"

There is nothing fancy about this place; it's what you should expect from a moderate hotel - cleanliness, good service, well maintained and some amenities. My evaluation might have been higher if we hadn't spent the night before at an exceptional hotel, Four Points Downtown in Tallahassee, of course at a bit higher cost. We were running from Hurricane Milton and this was the third stop in our mandatory evacuation from our home in southwest Florida. Milton had just passed through St. Augustine and there had been little damage there. We decided to spend a few days in St. Augustine to relax before trying to make our way back home. This was a good choice. Hampton Inn on US1 is just a short drive from the wonderful St. Augustine historic district and the beach. You can save a couple of dollars on tickets for the highly recommended historic district trolly tour when you purchase them at the hotel. There is a shuttle that will take you to the trolly terminal. As I said, there's nothing fancy about this hotel. It's a clean, well maintained place to come to lay your head or relax by the nice pool after a day at the beach or enjoying the sights, shops and great restaurants of St. Augustine. The complementary buffet breakfast is good and offers a fair selection of options. There is adequate parking and there are three entrances to the hotel, the main entrance and two locked entrances accessible by your electronic room key; wherever you park you are close to an entrance to the hotel. Our stay was enjoyable and the staff was responsive to any of our needs.

"Manager made bad situation a good one."

Initially when we arrived at 4 pm our room wasn't ready and it was 6 pm before it was. However, the next day after talking to the manager, Shontay, she compensated us by taking off the parking fee and was super nice. She made a big difference in our experience. Thanks Shontay.

"Loved this hidden gem."

The room was clean and relaxing. The bathroom was really clean. We had palm trees swaying outside the room window. The staff were engaging and very helpful. We had questions about sightseeing and they suggested attractions and helped us get transportation.
