Downtown St. Augustine has extremely limited parking options, so we chose to stay a short distance outside of the historic area. The Holiday Inn Historic (now, Hampton Inn) proved to be a very good lodging alternative, especially for those who have a car for the easy 5-minute drive to downtown St. Augustine. Walking is also an option for those who prefer, with about 20-25 minutes to arrive in the main historic area. The hotel was clean and inviting, with well-appointed rooms, comfortable beds, good showers, and appropriate lighting. The staff was professional and helpful. Due to very limited parking in all of St. Augustine, the hotel does charge $20 per day for parking but, given the situation, it is understandable and the reasonable room rates make up for this additional charge, in my opinion. The breakfast area is small and has few options, so we chose to eat meals at local establishments. All in all, a solid choice for lodging outside of downtown St. Augustine.

My husband and I stopped in St. Augustine for lunch and on a whim, decided to stay the night. We walked into the hotel and the manager on duty was SUPER friendly and helpful. She was training a new employee and was teaching her all the right customer service skills!!! Our room was 218 and it was immaculate. 11am check out is also a nice to have. Really enjoyed our stay, joking with the staff, and the upbeat vibe of the front desk staff. Thank you!

The staff here are wonderful. The ladies really show unmatched customer service. It's a very busy hotel and the team are still smiling and have a positive more Christmas attitude. God bless them they really do a lot. You can see a lot of team work. They even put up with guest who got impatient!!! Thank you so much for a great experience

The young lady at the front desk would benefit from a course in hospitality ! She was not pleasant whatsoever and was very vague when questioned about directions or surrounding area attractions. It appeared that we were bothering her to check in. We asked for a pet free room because of allergies, but she stated that it is a pet friendly hotel without any pet free rooms - surprise! Breakfast was minimal, at least. We won't be back!

Had a wonderful time visiting St. Augustine and staying at the Hampton. The hotel feels and looks brand news with a marble lobby and a spacious look when you enter the hotel. The rooms are exceptional, perfect space and laminate floors and exceptionally clean. The hotel looks and feels brand new and the service is quite wonderful as well. The manager Heather was truly exceptional and so very friendly. Overall a wonderful experience and a perfect spot when visiting St. Augustine.
