Hampton Inn By Hilton Springfield South Enfield in Enfield, CT

I've left a review for this Hampton Inn in Enfield, CT from their link I received but wanted to leave one on here as well. Basically I had a nice and relaxing time! My stay was from 1/17 thru 1/21/2025 (which included some "Winter Weather"), but was still good to be in this part of CT since I haven't been for a long while. Nearby definitely many options for food as well as shopping, right along the same main road off of I-91 (east of the hotel, along Route 190/Hazard Ave). Also just North of this Hampton Inn is the Enfield Square Mall. Unfortunately, it's not as "happening" as it used to be back when I was in High School, (late 80s). It has become more of a "Walking Mall" (which I took part in a few times during my stay)! It's main store now is Target. However there is one restaurant in the Mall I do recommend called "The Kebab House/Mosaic Cafe". They have very good Turkish Food, I had the "Chicken Shish" kebab dinner, most definitely try them if you have a chance. Due to the weather, I wasn't able to visit the "Windsor Locks Canal State Park Trail, just west of the Hampton Inn. Basically a walking-trail down along the Connecticut River. Finally the Hampton Inn itself was great, I had checked in a little early before my Room was ready. The Front Desk person was professional and told me the exact time to come back to the Lobby. It was ready like she mentioned and I appreciated it very much. Also all the floor staff were professional as well, checking in the few times I was in my room. Just a pleasant stay from beginning to end. I highly recommend this Hampton Inn! I'm not sure when I'll be staying next in Enfield, but I will definitely be staying here the next time around...!

My husband and I just stayed three nights here because we had unexpected work done in our home and needed to be out. This was so convenient and allowed me to stay and get to work during the day easily. This hotel was wonderful! Our room was comfortable and quiet. The hotel and the room were super clean – I constantly saw them cleaning the common areas. Breakfast was good with a solid assortment of items. On our last day, they were having repairs done to repair a water leak and the water was off for longer than they expected. Kurt, The assistant manager, was so nice and made sure he kept us informed and we did not have to ask for compensation as it was offered for the inconvenience. I am a Hilton diamond loyalty member and this visit made a tough inconvenience for us so much nicer. We will need to do additional work in the house, so it is nice to know we can comfortably come back here when we need to! Thanks for a nice stay!

I could have done without the room right next to the elevator. A reasonably quiet hotel, but not all the time. Excellent location. The Longhorn Steakhouse right next door was crazy busy on Saturday night. Breakfast was extensive. Both mornings it was one of the better hotel breakfasts I've had with a ton of variety and options. The shower was a tad janky but I liked the non slip surface. The first night my wife thought the bed was a tad small and we're not big people, and I thought it was just a tad firm, but the second night it was good. The halls were cold as they seemed to still be using air conditioning in October. Good parking. Seemed like a nice safe area. Very clean. I didn't understand why the waste baskets didn't have linings set up when we got there. The fridge was off when we arrived, apparently to save energy, with signage to turn it on.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. The cons I found were that the rooms climate control unit is motion controlled. So while you are sleeping the unit goes off until the room gets hot again (or cold if it’s winter) then kicks on again. Constant starting and stopping all night. Nothing can be done to override the system. Our room had a lot of dust above the window valance. Bed was pretty comfortable and the pillows were ok as well.

I stayed here for one night in July 2024. I arrived late from the airport and my room was ready, person at the front desk was helpful, professional and welcoming. The room was very clean, well maintained and everything was in good condition. The ac worked perfectly. Breakfast in the morning was hot, fresh and there were the standard options of oatmeal, waffles, hot items, fruit, bread etc. I would happily stay here again.
