Hampton Inn Baltimore Bayview Campus in Baltimore, MD

We have stayed at many different Hampton Inn’s and we would not recommend staying at this one. First night there I was laying in the bed, got up and noticed something crawling on the pillow. Sure enough, it was a bed bug. Front desk apologized and moved us to a different room. He also stated we would be compensated with reward points due to this. I used to work in property management so I know that bed bugs can spread like wildfire and they are absolutely not something to mess around with! Front desk asked the manager for us about washing/drying our clothes. She told us that the manager said we would be reimbursed “through their insurance”. I figured it was a lie as I’ve never heard such a thing. Never were we contacted by the actual manager regarding the situation and never were we refunded either. Pretty crazy considering that was the least that could be done to ensure we don’t 1. Spread anything into the new hotel room we were put in and 2. Bring them home with us. We paid over $30 in just laundry to make sure our items were clean after that. We ended up throwing away our suitcase, 2 blankets and our 2 expensive dog beds for our dogs to be on the safe side since our items were in that bed bug room for hours. I’m pretty sure most other hotels would’ve atleast refunded us for the laundry we had to do. Oh and as for us getting compensated for bed bugs in our room… we were given 8,000 points. Is it better than nothing? Sure. But that’s a pretty laughable amount to give for such an issue especially considering us spending our own money to wash everything and throwing out expensive items… not to mention how paranoid we were the entire time we stayed the rest of the time. It was also around 2-3am when this happened and we didn’t get to bed until 5am. I literally could not sleep most nights because of being so paranoid and scared that the new room had bed bugs too or that our stuff now had them. The rooms are also not cleaned thoroughly. In both rooms we were in behind the beds there was tons of trash, dirt and food. We were here to get our dog’s cancer treated at Johns Hopkins and this added to our already emotional and stressful situation. Honestly, do yourself a favor and listen to the negative reviews. We wouldn’t ever book here again.

The hotel was in a convenient location. Close to the airport without feeling like it was. Breakfast included, made to order omelets, and lots of choices. Free parking. Only 10 minutes from downtown and 40 minutes to DC. Staff was very helpful.

Checking in took an hour, and there was one customer at the front desk. Their watery coffee has a horrible bitter taste. Poor milk options. Breakfast is not replaced even in the opening hour. The shower doesn't get hot. Not enough towels were given. It was expensive and there was no reason. I go to John's Hopkins 3x and never offered their rate.

Our first visit was a real dissappointment. The price was too high, no cold water, couldn't brush teeth with hot water, poor ambience . We have stayed in many Hamptons and this was one of the worst. We will not return and have a bad impression of Hampton as a result.

I stayed at this hotel for one night and must say this was the most horrible experience ever. As a parent that has traveled for sports I have never encountered such disgusting bedding. Gross totally the worst. Hair in the shower. Bed doesn’t even face the tv. No satisfaction of return phone call from the hotel and guest reservations which charged a rediculous fee. Be aware. I’m not one to write reviews but in this case I had to.
