Pros: -breakfast -free and plenty of parking Cons: -elevator not functioning -toilet clogged, overflowed even w/ plunger use -fridge had to be replaced The whole experience cut our trip short - we chose to just drive back home to Vegas on New Years eve instead of staying the remaining 5 days. We called for the clogged toilet within the first 24 hours and all we were given was a plunger. We also had to go up and down the stairs with ALL of our luggage/stuff (family of 4, 2 really young children) since elevator was not working since our arrival the weekend prior but this was nothing compared to the overflowing toilet. I was hoping they would send someone to clean up the bathroom right away but we've had breakfast, even packed up (could not stand the smell) and no one came to clean. I want to like the hotel given the free breakfast/parking/location/price but it ruined a much needed vacation/holiday so I'd recommend you spend just a few more dollars somewhere else. I haven't had a nice long vacay in 2 years and this is the experience I got. My fault for thinking it can't be that bad to book with them. 2 stars for location and parking.

Clean, safe, comfortable, convenient and the breakfast is hot and the coffee is good. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There is a bit of wear and tear: The A/C worked but the housing was falling off. My refrigorater did not work. My comode would sometimes keep running and I'd need to close the flap. The first night I got there the ice machine on my floor was not opperational. It was working after the first night.

It's an average hotel on a busy street. Expensive, but on the cheaper side for this area. Everything worked fine, but the room, the service and the general ambience was just OK for a one night stay. In particular, the crowd and noise made me somewhat uncomfortable when I returned late on Saturday night. I'd go back if I just needed a place to sleep.

So happy to find this hotel after a sleepless night somewhere else. Clean and modern, it was basic but all we needed--a nice place to shower and sleep between site-seeing. Friendly staff and large, comfortable rooms. I will say the website pictures of the breakfast set up are deceiving but it was still flavorful and filling.(Just fewer choices than in the pictures.) Overall the nicest budget hotel we've stayed in in San Diego. Thank you!

Pool was advertised as open but was closed and not at all as pictured. The food was ok. Room was clean enough. The location is central to many attractions and must see locations. Room 155 has a flimsy window, is on the ground floor, and faces a parking lot. I wouldn’t recommend this room for that reason. It didn’t feel very safe.
