"Really high end?"

We stayed 1 night at Four Seasons and 2 nights at Mandalay Bay. The rooms are identical!!! MBay is 1/2 the price! Some other services are shared. Is this a no- brainer or what? Rooms are on a higher floor for 4Seasons but really? Our room at MB had a great view.

"Quiet, luxurious hotel on the quieter end of the Strip, Las Vegas"
TripAdvisor user rating 4.0 out of 5

The Four Seasons occupies floors 35-39 of the Mandalay Bay hotel. There is a separate entrance and a dedicated reception and lobby, with a separate gym, spa, and some shops. Otherwise the hotel will direct you to the Mandalay Bay for restaurant recommendations. Pros: - service was excellent and felt personal. - rooms spacious and very clean. - coffee machine with pods in the rooms, a water station on every floor. - nice amenities in the room (products from Nature Bisse). - hotel is on quieter end and not crowded. Cons: - located very south of the Strip so it is a far distance to the centre of the Strip. There is however a monorail service connecting Mandalay Bay to New York, New York which helps save time. - not much happening at this end of the Strip, and the closest hotels to the Four Seasons (Mandalay Bay, Luxor, and Excalibur) aren’t great. All in all, very much enjoyed our stay!

"Nice hotel but average service"

The Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas offers a luxurious experience with spacious and comfortable rooms that ensure a restful stay. The staff is friendly and attentive, consistently providing excellent service. However, dining experiences at the hotel’s restaurants were disappointing. At Bourbon Steak Las Vegas, we waited 30 minutes for a server to take our order and another 30 minutes to pay. Similarly, at Veranda, the ordering process felt superficial, and mistakes occurred on two separate days. While the hotel excels in accommodations and hospitality, improvements in restaurant service are necessary to match its high standards. It seems that the Four Seasons Hotels are only expensive and the services are like regular hotels.

"Nickel & Diming Galore......"
TripAdvisor user rating 3.0 out of 5
Reviewed December 14, 2024 NEW
I've been to the Four Seasons Las Vegas at least 4 or 5 times over the last few years. Was at the hotel over Thanksgiving weekend and that will certainly be the last time. Booked through AMEX FHR as I always do. Found out upon checking in that the hotel provides $75 per couple toward breakfast, which is only a Continental Breakfast. They are very up-front about that as it is printed on the AMEX FHR Welcome Letter. (Obviously they know that it insufficient for a full breakfast entitlement because if you book the Breakfast Package directly through the Four Seasons Website, they offer $90.) That's shady! Continental Breakfast is juice, pastry and coffee or tea. As someone who has booked hotels though AMEX FHR for over 9 years this is the first time I've had a hotel tell me, "we're only obligated to offer you Continental Breakfast." Furthermore, a Manager, justified this nonsense by telling me we offer you the 4pm checkout and $125 spa credit. Um, that perk is automatic from AMEX FHR, NOT the so-called generosity of the hotel. So nice try on that excuse. Finally, this one I knew before booking but its still nickel and diming at its core. The hotel charges a $55 resort fee, even in the Winter. The so-called resort fee is for use of the hotel pools, lazy river, phone calls, etc. Considering that 99% of the world has a cell phone and PLUS its November and the pools are CLOSED! No one is swimming/tanning; its outrageous and offensive to charge for something that isn't available. While the hotel is within their right to charge whatever fees they like, I am within my right to patronize a different hotel that doesn't feel the need to fleece their guests. ZERO chance I'd return.

"Incredible Class, Among the Best Hotel Experiences in My Life"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5
Reviewed November 25, 2024
The staff at this hotel was incredible. I have never been treated with such class and professionalism over many decades. Every single team member should be proud of their efforts and obviously the training is incredible. This hotel is an oasis within Vegas. I have stayed at Vdara for many years, as it is one of the few hotels not attached to a casino. The same is true of Four Seasons, but it is much more sequestered, but in a brilliantly clever way. Near the elevators to the rooms, there is a door that leads you into Mandalay Bay. But before you go through that door, you feel as if you are in a private, rarified space. You would barely know you are in Vegas, in terms of the quiet and serenity. The turndown and housekeeping service was beyond incredible. I made sure to leave around $4-5 bucks each morning and evening for housekeeping as a means of requesting a little extra attention, but whether or not that was a factor, the service was incredible. They organized my items and put ties on my charging cords during turndown. The room was recleaned and restocked. I had a rather embarrassing incident my last morning where I thought my iPad had been stolen while I was in the bathroom. Foolishly, I had failed to check the coffee area where I had in fact left it. Before this was discovered, I alerted staff to a potential theft. In a discrete but very conscientous way, they swung into motion including looking at footage. Upon finding it at the coffee stand, the most obvious statement in the world would have been "you left it at the coffee stand." However, all they did was very discretely hand me the iPad and indicate they had found it at the coffee stand. In short, every effort was made to avoid having me feel blamed for what was in fact a silly thing on my behalf that riled everyone up. What strikes me also is that the staff was not exuberantly friendly in some kind of flamboyant manner. Folks were very friendly, but in an entirely classy and even understated manner. I can scarcely imagine the training that went into all of this, but it paid off. I really enjoyed the mellow lobby were you could sit and have coffee in the morning or a drink at night. They also had fire pits going by the pool. What's important to note is that, as far as I can tell, the Four Seasons is part of the Mandalay Bay and is on the upper rooms. I was given a room on the very top floor. When they say "strip view," they mean in. This property is at the very beginning of the strip, so I had a panoramic view of the entire strip. The floor to ceiling windows made this even more mesmerizing. I have no idea how these rooms compare to those at Mandalay Bay, but my room was large and very well-proportioned. There was a shower and bathtub, and certainly touches like a bathrobe. In any event, the elevator blasts through the lower floors and there you are on floors 35 and up. The Four Seasons has a dedicated swimming pool, although guests can also use the Mandalay Bay pool. This helps with the feeling of a private oasis. In candor, the pool is not large -- it's pretty basic. I imagine the privacy would still come in handy. Due to the coolness of the weather, I did not swim. I have never stayed at a Four Seasons, so I don't know how it compares. However, the aesthetic of this property is not gaudy -- it's classy. The staff is the core of the experience. They believe strongly in their mission and nothing reasonable is spared in terms of making their guests feel pampered. This is easily in the top two experiences I have ever had at a hotel. It's also worth considering that with the large Vegas properties -- even the classier ones -- there appear to be significant inconsistencies in service. Which isn't surprising given the overall economy and the challenges of a huge property. This is a smaller oasis with serenity, tremendous quiet, and class in all respects. I am truly grateful for this stay and how I was treated.
