I have a nice experience staying in this hotel for 5-nights. There were some issues going on but they fix it fairly quickly. Good and warm service all-around. Details: 1. Location: Located in the Chinatown and close to Capital One Arena and the metro also. Plenty of restaurant, cafes, and shops around. Walgreens also only a few minutes walk. Other DC attractions around National Mall is only 10-15 minutes walk, however, if you don't want to walk bus and metro also your best options. In general, getting around from this hotel is a breeze. 2. Reception/Lobby: The lobby is very homey but small. The seating space also shared where the breakfast served, so it's always packed during the morning for people checking-out and having breakfast. Diane was very helpful at that time when she's checking me in. My room has issue with an aircon where it goes off for every 15-20 minutes, she managed to fix and moved me to a new room. Surprisingly my room is upgraded, so I have more space to spread out my stuff. 3. Room: The upgraded room has plenty of space. There's a sofa that can be turned into a bed also. I'm amazed with the number of plugs available in additions to a number of USB-A slots. Bathroom size is big with plenty of room for my bathroom amenities. The room itself is clean, bed is comfortable, TV works very well, the aircon works very well. My room is facing main road intersection, so it can be a bit loud, especially when emergency responders passing through which can happen very often. If you're a light sleeper, earplugs is a must. 4. Other aspects: housekeeping done a really good job. All associates especially front desk , securities, and breakfast services are really nice and friendly to all guests. Breakfast can be very chaotic, long line, also not enough space for everyone. The only way to mitigate this is to grab a tray, take food and drinks you need, and eat in the room (don't forget to return the tray later). Elevator can be slow and busy also in the morning. Coin operated laundry and ice machines are also available. Overall, it was a nice experience staying here. It's still offer a great value despite the noise and brekfast issue, which can be mitigated. I'll definitely choose this hotel again if I'm coming back to DC.

We stayed one night as the hotel is within walking distance to the Capital One Arena. Staff was friendly. We loved that the Irish bar was just downstairs and was open late. It was very clean and comfortable. It does need to be updated - it just seems a little tired.

Great location in the middle off Chinatown, Brilliant friendly and very helpful staff. 👏👏👏👏 to all the staff who work so hard. Spotless rooms, coffee making facilities , fridge and microwave ,,,, Good breakfast to start your day…. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here,,,👍👍👍👍👍

Recently I've started to stay at Fairfield Inns and I don't know why I waited so long to stay at them. The DC/Downtown is up to the standards that I've come accustomed to. It is clean, good location, fairly priced, breakfast included, friendly and helpful staff. It does not have daily cleaning. Found the bed to be comfortable and room spacious enough for two adults. Definitely will continue to stay at Fairfield Inns.
