Fairfield Inn by Marriott Allentown Bethlehem/Lehigh Airport in Bethlehem, PA

My experience was strange....my room had hair conditioner and body lotion, but didn't have any shampoo, body wash, or even hand soap? I've never in my life called a front desk but I had to to at least get hand soap, which is an absolute necessity. The person who took the call didn't apologize or anything, but at least sent someone up with the hand soap. The folded up towels in the bathroom and the sink area also just looked messy, like the person staying previously didn't use them and whoever cleaned just left them however they were left instead of at least tidying them up. In the morning when we checked out, the woman just said we were good to go, didn't ask how our stay was or wish us a nice day or anything. I used the waffle maker during breakfast and the woman who was working the space came over and told me I didn't use enough batter with attitude and just walked away...like okay, what did saying that to me serve and why say it rudely? XD The hospitality was really lacking with almost every interaction I had to have....and hospitality is literally the job. Additionally, the parking lot situation is terrible - we had to wait for someone to leave to find a space to park. It's clear that people just park here that aren't guests, and the hotel doesn't take your plate number or anything so it seems like they don't care who parks there even if it means their guests don't have space to park. Bed was comfortable enough, room was mostly quiet at night, location suited our needs, and we were happy to see a waffle maker station included in the the breakfast - these are the only reasons for 2/5 stars.

I recently checked into this Fairfield Inn by Marriott, and let me tell you—it was beyond disappointing. While the front desk agent Melanie was the one bright spot (thank you, Melanie, for trying to salvage what is otherwise a disaster), the rest of the property is shockingly subpar. The hotel is dirty, outdated, and in dire need of serious renovations. Mold and mildew plague the rooms, filling the air with a musty odor that clings to your lungs. After just one night, my head and throat were killing me. I’m convinced this place needs a full health inspection. The hallways and main lobby? Stifling hot and equally unpleasant. To make it worse, there are stains everywhere—on the floors, on the ceiling, like the place hasn’t seen a deep clean in years. I even had the pleasure of discovering bug bait traps in my room. Yes, you read that right—bug bait traps. I should’ve run for the hills at that point, but it was family weekend at Lehigh, and every other place was full. So I stayed. Big mistake. Now for the highlight reel: the mattresses are busted, and you’ll feel every spring digging into your back. The highway noise? Oh, that’s just the constant soundtrack to your night of *no* sleep. The pillows are so soft they may as well not exist—your head sinks straight to the coils. The icing on the cake? A morning shower that feels like someone is spitting lukewarm water on you, thanks to zero water pressure. My teen son, in a desperate attempt to mask the mildew smell, sprayed half a can of Axe body spray around the room. Lucky me. And as if things couldn’t get worse, every single surface is covered in a layer of dust. It’s like a time capsule from when this place last got cleaned—whenever that was. This property is managed by VIII HII Hôtel Drive Hersha Hospitality Management, who clearly couldn’t care less about the state of this dump. Google generously lists this as a 2-star hotel, but that’s a stretch. The positive reviews? They must be fake, because there’s no way anyone in their right mind could recommend this place. Marriott, it’s time to take a good, hard look at this property and remove your name from it. This is not a Fairfield Inn—this is a *motel* in the worst possible sense. Do yourself a favor: avoid this place at all costs.

This is you typical Fairfield Inn, only a bit smaller which is no big deal. Very clean, but the hotel itself, NOT including our room, was stifling hot. It was extremely hot outside the weekend we were there. Maybe they just didn't want to cool the whole hotel down....don't know. The room itself was nice and cool however. Only gave it 3 stars because the beds and pillows were not comfortable....which is odd for a Marriott property. Other than that, it is very clean, and it is in a good location. Breakfast area was small, so we actually went a minute down the road to the Bethlehem Diner which was very good. There is also a Dennys right next to the diner if you would rather go there.

Nice property conveniently located to eateries, shopping and Route 22. Minutes from the LVIA airport. One of the few properties in the area with an outdoor pool. The GM does a wonderful job of keeping her staff engaged and happy. You can just tell :)

It’s amazing how a bubbly, exuberant and very, very helpful staff can add so much to a positive experience and that’s what you get while checking in at this establishment as well if you need some assistance navigating the neighborhood. That’s exactly what you receive from Alexis and Brycen , the front desk staff at reception. Alexis’s sunny disposition and Brycen’s helpfulness surely made our stay both enjoyable and memorable. We’d recommend this facility just to expose others to such a positive experience that is not hardly ever experienced anywhere else. Also, the facility itself is clean, comfortable and very relaxing. Go Alexis& Brycen!
