Encore Resort at Reunion, Florida

We rented a house at Encore Resort in Kissimmee from March 5th to the 10th, 2025 unfortunately our stay didn’t live up to expectations. First off, the pool was in poor condition. It was filthy dirty and the first two days the heat did not work and the spa was not even full of water rendering it unusable. It was not until after we called, then went in person to the office to report the issue that the heat finally started working. The pool did not get cleaned at all during our stay even after we told the manager Leonardo. Floors and furniture are worn and dirty. Make sure you wear socks or shoes in the house. We also had an awful experience with food delivery. We ordered from Nico's pizza, and it was a disaster. They completely messed up our order, the pizza was cold, and it took two hours to arrive when we were told it would only be an hour. Just don't order pizza from Nico's it was inedible period. The TV's and Remotes didn't work in the downstairs bedroom. They completely messed up the billing and charged only one family members credit card for the entire reservation. Overall, this experience wasn’t great, and we wouldn’t be in a rush to return to this house or recommend it to others.

Tatiana was super friendly and professional when it came to checking in and explained everything about where the things are and the activities and restaurants. A super good place to spend time with family. The super spacious and elegant houses. The super fun water park for our children.

We were there for a week seating 12/29/2024 and stayed in an 8 BR house (for 13 of us). The good: - Big rooms. - Decent location. - Nice fenced in yard with pool and jacuzzi. The bad: INVOICE: - They won’t print it out when you check out - so you can’t find any issues while there. - I was told when I booked that we would get a “long stay discount”. This was supposed to be 10 - 15% off. We didn’t see this on the invoice. - On one of the days we were charged an extra $66.83 in taxes. They double charged. I have called and tried to talk with the front desk manager (Leo) about these issues. Wouldn’t do anything. He reluctantly gave me the email of his director and accounting (wouldn’t give a phone number) to talk with them. I have sent more than a few emails, no response. They should’ve credited us $699. PROBLEMS WITH HOUSE: - Ants - Mice droppings - Dirty floors - my husband vacuumed as soon as we saw all the shells from “nuts”. - Found trash from previous renter. - We asked for 2 days of pool heat. It wasn’t turned on until we got home from the parks, all excited to go in. They did give me a $500 credit for the above, which we appreciated. You also don’t know which house you have until you check in. Evidently they don’t know how to stop people from entering earlier than allowed. The 2 * rating is due to the customer service, not being able to get an invoice, not getting a return call. There’s too many other places to stay in that area to put up with that crap and pay those high prices. WARNING: Be sure you find out about the extra fees. Get the persons name who reserved it for you and BE SURE the discount is shown on your bill before putting down a deposit. Better yet, FIND A BETTER PLACE TO STAY!!!

Having stayed before a couple of times, this time was a huge letdown. We really liked and rated the resort previously but something just felt off this time, like the place was in decline or the owners are looking to cut costs and keep the place barely ticking over. No atmosphere around the place at all which is great if you want a quiet time around the pool or at the villa after a long day at the parks, but not comfortable if going to Finns for a meal or drinks in the evening. Its like being in a ghost town. Some of the staff were great and couldnt do enough to help. Others barely give the time of day or openly argue or criticise colleagues which is pretty uncomfortable to be around. Unfortunately, Finns restaurant had limited opening times, never for breakfast despite all the promotional materials saying it would be. The food was average and overly expensive. At least one meal was ice cold in the middle (salmon) and gave the impression it was badly heated from frozen. Shocking as previously we always felt the food was great value and always felt fresh. Choice was limited with numerous options being unavailable for the majority of our stay. The small grab and go shop is all but gone which is a big loss. It was really handy previously for essentials liike bread milk etc. The prices of the few goods on offer are crazy high. Again it feels like a cost cutting exercise and has been replaced with a pretty poor coffee franchise with very limited offerings. This was unstaffed or closed more often than not. The accomodation not well cleaned, we had to request a hoover to clean ourselves. Lots of hair (not from a head) gathered around toilets and in the corners of most bathrooms. Numerous occasions finding cockroaches in sinks and showers. Matresses on the beds were badly stained. Overall decor and furniture looked and felt well worn. Disappointing. There were some issues with idiots racing cars with big bore exhausts up and down the roads late at night. Not a massive issue for us, but if you are planning a stay and have young children, they would have been woken and kept awake by this. Security didn't really do anything. Again, its more a feeling that the same level of care and pride in the resort is not there anymore. The transport to Disney parks has badly declined also. Now the transport visits 2 other hotel locations before getting to the parks, adding a good 20-30 minutes to the journey in good traffic, which is extremely rare. Not great for those wanting to arrive early or with times secured in the virtual queues for rides such as Tron or Guardians of the Galaxy. As the title says, it was disappointing to see how far this venue has fallen. It is billed and priced as a premium quality resort but delivers a mid-range quality service. Its like paying for a top top disney hotel room and getting a days inn room. There is nothing wrong with it, (Days Inn would be probably than our villa was when we first arrived) it's just a lot less than you expect for the cost. I don't think we would book to stay here again after this experience.

Our first rental was great — it was clean, well-maintained, and overall, a wonderful place to stay. We were there 5 minutes at 10:30 pm. However, the property did not match the description in terms of the number of bedrooms. We had booked a property with five bedrooms, but when we arrived, we discovered that it only had four bedrooms. I called the front and they were willing to move us to a 5 bedroom. We were promptly moved to another location, for which we appreciated the effort. Unfortunately, the second rental was far below the standards we expected. It was so poorly maintained. The front landscaping was missing and not taken care of. The couches were stained. The dishwasher was broken, no coffee pot, no carbage, no soap, or starter packs. Towels! How can you have a pool/hot tub and no towels and no mat. The floor was so slippery walking back in, the kids kept falling. The carpet was so stained and dirty. The walls needed painted. The dryer was so loud and you could not run it at night. The water park was great, but cold. One tennis court is useable. The other is not. Garbage overflowing. See pictures below.
