DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Cincinnati - Blue Ash in Sharonville, OH

As diamond members of Hilton Honors it was a mixed bag. To be fair the staff were very nice and did give us warm cookies. Actually they gave us a second pair of cookies after I came downstairs to get another pillow(only 3 pillows with 2 people) and mention the TV in the bedroom was malfunctioning. Fortunately it finally came back on after turning it on and off 4 or 5 times so the only thing needed was another pillow(it came while we were out that night). The room was fine and spacious, however, there were only two bath towels one of which was not only smaller but frayed and warn. The other thing is our profile requests a room close to the elevator yet it was as far away from the elevator as possible and the furthest we have ever had to walk in any hotel property. That’s a dealbreaker for my wife who has arthritis in both knees and back and hip pain. Add to that when we returned in the evening parking was virtually nonexistent. Yes, we have a handicap parking permit but all the spots near the front entrance were all taken. Although I thought our rate included free breakfast it actually covered $15 dollars off the buffet breakfast. That is not bad, however, the food was somewhat cold including lukewarm coffee. For those who paid $20 for the breakfast buffet that’s not a good deal. I will say that our server was very good and checked on us to see if we needed anything. It wasn’t her fault the food was not warm and I wasn’t going to make her day unpleasant. Restaurants were virtually nonexistent in that area so I was able to drive 4 miles to get pizza just before the restaurant closed. At least gas stations were more plentiful. Considering it was BLINK weekend in Cincinnati and other hotels were full or outrageous the price was the best we could get. OK stay but probably would not book this hotel in the future.

I have never stayed in a Hilton property like this. It is obvious that cleaning, upkeep, and inspections have been neglected for some time. There was a large amount of dust/dirt built up on the carpet near the walls. There were splatters of food and liquid on the doors and walls. There were cobwebs in the corners. The wallpaper is peeling. There was mold all over the bathroom ceiling. The in room coffee station was not stocked. The only thing about this room that let me know I was at a Hilton was the price. I stay exclusively at Hiltons and I have NEVER been to one that looked like this. This was a $50 Motel room, not a $160 Hilton room.

Customer service is wonderful here, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are big and beds were comfy too! Jacob deserves a raise he was so great! We will be back next time we are around. The location is great too close to many food options and close to kings island theme park

The room smelled awful. There were red stains on the base of the bed. The bathroom had literal black mold along the ceiling. The bathroom had urine stains running down the back of the door and brown stains on the floor!! It was unreal. I’ve never seen such an awful room and wouldn’t expect that with a DoubleTree. We got our room refunded and found a much better Hampton Inn down the street.

We used to love staying at this hotel now it is very run down. There is no staff. Took hours to get a remote and bedding for the couch bed. The hotel smelled like POT. Beds were hard as rocks we were supposed to stay 2 nights and left at 3 am on the first night to drive 4 hours back home. My husband and I did not sleep at all. Very disappointing and will NEVER stay again.
